I really like Fit TV. The only thing that I'm dissapointed is that there are no talk about body building or nuitrition. Right now, the world of body building is under peril with many issues coming up in Congress. That is another topic for discussion for another time. The main thing is that I think that there should be more actual Body Building shows that explain what actually reps and sets, how the reps effect the muscle , and the nutritional aspect.

The other thing that I would like to see is some Body Building Contests. Maybe some agreement with the IFBB and the NPC to show some contest or some kind of report on the happenings of the contests. Not one time on Fit TV did I see anything about the Mr. Oylmpia or Ronnie Coleman tying Lee Haney for his eighth Mr Olympia title. Maybe some kind of show represented by Muscular Development or one of Weider/AMI magazines to discuss the hot topics of the body building nation and contest results. All this is just a thought from one person. Maybe someone else out there in computer land will agree with me.

I think that would be a great idea! As long as it is natural body building ... no steroids or enhancers. Smile

There's a very good reason there aren't any bodybuilding shows on fittv. Fittv is for overweight housewives (if you think I'm kidding, name more than one show with a man on it!) Everybody knows overweight housewives don't like get into bodybuilding, don't watch bodybuilding and are only concerned about their big fat butts.

I concur. I would love to see body building shows on fittv. But as notafan2 brings up, this channel definately seems to be for women. If not body building shows, atleast shows that actually teach you how to be fit, nutritionally and athletically. Women think that jumping up and down for 30 mins. three times a week, will burn off the four plates eaten at Old Country Buffet. A better name for this channel would be Curves TV. Cause this is a channel exclusively for women.

I've lifted weights for years, on and off. In a lot of people's minds weightlifting produces undesirable results. Too many people think that they will get "too big" or look "like a man." In order to sell advertising FitTV has to remain trendy, and bodybuilding is seen as from the 80's, maybe the 90's. People don't have a concept about what the high-impact workouts will do to their joints when they get older, they see it as what's "in" and they do it.

Cathe Friedrich has a workout that I challenge any man to follow along with! But her production values make it seem like she's concerned that viewers will watch for the wrong reasons, i.e., only to see the bodies. She also seems concerned that another body will be seen as better developed that hers.

I too would like bodybuilding to be back on the tube, but the days of ESPN having bodybuilding on in the AM are long gone, I'm afraid.

Eek You are so right! I really wish they would create some mens shows. How do we get a mens fitness station? Why dont the mens magazines make a show? Oh well, I am buff and that is all that matters. Wink
