I think all the workout shows are great. It's the others. I understand that they are reruns (buff brides, gym, etc.) but I would like to see some real people. Not a bride that already weighs 125 pounds and wants to lose 10 (she's 5'5 and 25 years old) What about women like me. I'm 48 and weigh 165 and have been working out religiously and eating healthy for years and can't get anywhere. Where's our personal trainers for 12 weeks, where's our special nutritionist, where's our help with depression? Not everyone that could really use some help and inspiration is 18-25 and no more than 150!!

A reality show for the rest of us wouldn't be realible as a money maker I guess. I mean, I weigh 195# and am flabby all over. In 12 weeks I would lose 12-24 pounds at the advertised healthy rate of loss. That's not going to look stunning on TV as I'd still be 50 pounds overweight, still look scary in a bikini and wouldn't have a toned six pack to show off - bad TV. Maybe a show where they have two groups of four people each who train for 6 weeks and whoever has lost the most inches of pounds or fat percentage between the two groups gets another six weeks, with a total makeover for the most improved on that team. Do you think a show like that would drive viewership up? Or maybe an annual cycle of shows that follow a group through three 12 week courses and three 8 week focus courses and compares results at the end of each course and the end of the year, with before and after shots for New Year's. You know, starting January 1st we meet some people and get honest pictures. Then they do a 12 week core strength course, then 8 weeks of hatha yoga, then 12 weeks of body for life then 8 weeks of Gilad's butt/abs/thighs routines, then a 12 week course like the one sold by V3S then 8 weeks of pialtes. That's a year and on 12/31 we celebrate and see before and after pictures and do in depth bios of the struggles and successes of each of the group members, seeing how it impacted their lifestyle and their family and stuff. Would that be a good show? Would you watch for the whole year, working out with them, following along at home? Would you sign up to be part of the follow along at home group, buying resistance bands or whatever at a specially reduced price? Remember, this is a business and it has to sell.
