I love All Star Workouts! I am a beginner and am usually intimidated with Gilad and others and find I can't keep up. (Sorry, not everyone is in the shape, they should be!) This show provides an interesting and fresh approach to fitness. While others want the workouts more advanced, I suggest you keep them at the level they are today, it's perfect as is. For those seeking more advanced workouts, I think you have more than enough programming available on Fit TV.
I understand that people are at different levels and need to have an entry points. However FitTV doesn't offer anything beyond that. How long do you all plan to stay at a beginner level? I notice how a lot of people are settling for mediocrity. What happens when your body adapts to that level? That's the problem, you all are dumbed down by these workouts that offer no mental challenge. Yes it's true that you have to start somewhere but don't allow yourself to get comfortable to the point where you are afraid of challenge your will.
I'm really out of shape and get bored easy, so the All Star Workouts helped me find low impact fun way to get my excercise! I love Gilad too it's nice to mix it up. It's amazing that I actually felt so sad to miss the belly danceing episode and I was sick today so I missed the Bhangra! I NEVER have been sad to miss a workout! I'm most happy that you show these in the evenings. We all have different schedules! Suggestions...I havent seen any weekend evening workouts, try to bring in more of the muticultural danceing routines!! (from reading the other posts here looks like others agree!) and PLEASE don't cancel this series some of us newbies really need something we can follow and even these other members complaining that it's not hard enough have to recognise it's not boreing
I have been working out for over a decade, and I was surprised that some of the seemingly less intense ALL Star Workouts actually had me breathing hard and sweating - a lot. My only objection is that if they are 'all new' - then why are there only like ten of them? I have watched the same five videos two or three times since they have started. My LEAST favorite was the belly dancing (they all had big bellies, so it seemed like something I DID not want to invest in), but I have done the Banghra TWICE and it was very effective.
I tried All Star Workouts with MaDonna Grimes and Aubre. They got a very good technique to teach and it is easy to keep up with the choreography. So, FIT TV, please give them more time on the schedule. By the way, the audience wants to workout, and this kind of show should be priority on Fit TV. We are not so interested on reality shows. They don't help us as much as the workouts. Thanks, Rose Lowe.
My girlfriend made me watch Bosu Strength with David Weck because she got a Bosu Ball for Christmas. During the show she made me stand on the ball and try some of the moves. I am now feeling muscles I swear didn't exist from just working with David Weck for about 15 minutes. I liked the show but more so love balancing and playing with the Bosu Ball.
MODIFYING TO FIT YOUR LEVEL. I really enjoy the new All Star Workout series because of its diversity. Using these series as a whole will automatically have your body cross-training. I am surprised that some viewers are complaining that the workouts are too easy. I am a fitness instructor, can complete Cathe Friedrich workouts and still found these workouts challenging. The first time I complete a workout I focus on form, rather than intensity. Once this foundation is built, I than get deeper into the workout and modify to fit my energy level for that day. Playing with levels will really help increase the challenge. For example, deepen the plies, squats, lunges etc. and contrast this with vertical lengthening, releve, a micro hop. Make the workout work for you and have fun! Be well!
Yesterday I saw the yoga workout with weights and enjoyed that...and today I did the dance workout with Michele lemay, which was challenging if you can't dance but SO MUCH FUN! I really hope fit tv keeps these innovative workouts that cover diverse movements and fitness levels. Additionally, I would like to see LOTS of new workouts continually being added to the All Star line-up. One of my biggest complaints with fit tv is that they play so many repeats...try making more episodes and not playing them more than once in a 2 week time period.
I cannot stand the All Star Workout. PLEASE bring back Gilad and some more strenuous workouts for us fitness nuts who don't want to pretend we are belly dancing (with some lame belly dancers I might add). I miss Gilad and will be watching his video until you get some decent workout material on the 6 to 7 am time slots.
I enjoy Pilates Sculpt with Ellen Barrett. Unfortunately, my funky DirecTV set-up won't let me tape it so I hope that the All-Star Workouts will be released on DVD.
Does anyone know when they will have new episodes of the Pilates Sculpt or any of them at all? I have been working out with taebo for years and find these workouts to be new and challenging for me and I love it! I just hate doing the same one over and over again ...
I wanted to say THANK You so much for the All Star Workouts. I know that the die hard workout people are crying foul but for those of us that can't keep up with the other shows this is a fun and basic way to start off. So I say hats off to FitTV for putting this on and hope that I can purchase a dvd of these workouts so when there isn't anything else on FitTv I can continue to workout with them.
I thought this show was a joke. I was expecting a real workout, but the instructor was so cutesy and smiley, people were moving so slowly waving black scarves. I was very disappointed.
All Star Workouts are a total waste of time and they have completely taken over the new line up. Where are Cathe and Gilad?? I have done several of the All Star Workouts and never even broke a sweat...it was a complete waste of time.
I agree that All Star Workouts needs to go. Early morning lineup is prime time for us exercise junkies and we need an intense weight training/aerobic combination workout that will get results. Stick All Star Workouts in the evening for those who want entertainment and bring back Gilad and Cathe Frederick.
Hello everyone! This is Aubre; I teach the Bellydance episode of All Star Workouts. It's very interesting to see what people think about the show. Bellydancing continues to provoke strong responses from everyone. For those of you that enjoy it, it's a pleasure to share this dance form with you. The emails I have received have been very inspirational. Thank you! For those whom are not interest, hopefully one of the other episodes will suit you better. It's all good as along as we continue to workout and have fun!
BTW - Aubre I Love your name - it has a very nice sound to it - I think the last time I heard that name was from the song Diary - from the rock group Bread or maybe it was America - either way its a beautiful name. Keep up the good routines - I like your upbeat style - very contagious -
