Cathe Friedrich is absolute excellence in every aspect of her program. I am MOST critically scrutinizing of instructors, as I am extensively credentialed and educated in the field of fitness, and have successfully motivated literally THOUSANDS in their quest for health and fitness in my 24 years as a professional fitness class instructor, and certified personal fitness trainer. I look closely for qualities in an instructor, such as proper technique, SAFETY, and the ability to EDUCATE, while motivating. With regard to ALL STAR WORKOUTS....The kick boxing instructor, Tom, was like finger nails dragging down a blackboard. If he screamed "AAAAAAAAA!!!!" ONE MORE TIME!!!!!! And what was up with the silly motivational comments throughout the show?? WHO IN THE WORLD auditioned this instructor, and deemed him worthy of display on ALL STAR WORKOUTS??? He has no rhythm, proper technique, teaching ability, and the most annoying tone of voice I have ever heard from an instructor!!! There ARE however, some very good instructors on ALL STAR WORKOUTS, although MOST of the workouts are of a lesser fitness level intensity. I think a positive of ALL STAR WORKOUTS is the INTRODUCTION of various fitness activities to MOTIVATE people to become interested in getting FIT! With the compelling stat of ONLY 4 out of every 10 people in the United States being exercise active, it seems we need as MUCH motivation as possible!!!!!..In my opinion...Petra is an excellent instructor, as well as Jennifer, Michelle, and Madonna, and Aubre. Suggestions for classes would be a an intense, educational, overall body sculpting class utilizing dumbbells, barbells, resistance bands,etc....And how about a stability/Swiss ball class, focusing on core training? And in closing...What is up with the Sharon Mann show? Do they have a low budget for MUSIC??? SOOOO repetitious. Gilad....Much improved over the years...and let's be honest....beautiful to look at. : )

I recorded an episode of "All Star Workouts" kick box cardio with Tommy Deters. I had the episode for two months on my DVR cable box, but a few days ago it deleted a bunch of shows and I lost the workout. I live by that workout and it has greatly increased my health habits. I used to weigh over three hundred pounds and for the first time in my life can feel the tight muscles in my side abdominals and am seeing the emergence of my abs from years of being covered in fat cells. First, I wanted to thank Tommy D. for without his guidance I probably wouldn't have stuck to the routine. Secondly, I have been in a frenzy to find a video he made. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find much of anything at all. No fan site, nothing. I was wondering if there was a way to purchase the episode on DVD.
Sincerely, Chris
PS Thanks Tommy D., my life is better for having seen your workout.

I too would like to see Ellen Barrett and Jennifer Galardi get their own shows. Both of them are excellent instructors. My favorite workouts on All Star Workout are Gilardi's Ballet Strength and Barrett's Slow Robics. I do both workouts once a week and find them very effective in toning my entire body. I love Barrett's Butterfly and sexy twist. I'd love to see an entire show of workouts that combine Pilates and Yoga taught by Barrett and Gilardi.

In regards to your quote about "the instructor not wearing shoes and dancing with a piece of material in her hand" You are just stupid & ignorant, because if you ever looked up what kind of dancing that is, you would know why! it's a cultural dance from india.if you don't like it or don't want to watch, change the channel!! nobody is forcing you to watch it, better yet get off your lazy ass and join a gym instead of sitting home, watching tv and praying that the calories will some how come off. quote: Originally posted by mollyoha: This show is a joke. I watched and laughed. If I am taking time out of my day to workout I want to see results. The instuctor was not wearing shoes, she was dancing around with a piece material in her hand and she was annoying!!! Make a new channel for dance fitness because this show doesn't deserve to be on FIT tv.

I LOVE the Allstar workouts and they really get me pumped to work out! However, I have a simple request... I think for some(like me), it will be easier to pick up the dances if there was a 180 angle of the instructor so we can follow him/her from the back!At least once when they pick up the speed! Thanks

Hi, I just found out about this show (I believe it was Ellen Barrett) Slow Aerobics. It was fantastic. I did tape it and will have another look. For me and I would imagine a few other people with health issues,or people just starting out, this is a great paced, positive show. I love her gentle attitude and encouragement. The other woman looked pretty positive as well. I did most of workout on the show first time. Look forward to viewing again. Thanks!

I LOVE THE BELLY DANCING!! I am sooo uncoordinated but this show breaks it down and does things slowly so I'm not falling all over myself. I love that I did it one time and I already feel sexier! AMAZING!!

I have a number of All Star Workouts stored in my DVR...Ellen Barrett, Tommy Deters, Kendall Hogan, etc. I do wish they would add some new Ellen stuff, she's my favorite, but I never get tired of the Pilates Sculpt workout.
None are available on DVD, but I wish they would release them. I would buy one.

I love the All Star workouts. I like to get up, start with Namaste Yoga for a warm up and then move on to the All Star workouts. They are fun. Plus I learn so much with each episode. Also, I do some of my own personal favorite exercises during commercials. Try it! I wish Shimmy was on in the morning. I catch it when I can at night. Who would have thought that exercising could be so much fun?!? I never get bored!

I like the All-Star workouts. (It's where I originally discovered Rania Bossonis and bellydancing.)
But it doesn't work with my daily scheduled. I'm either at work, in the car, or in bed when it's on. I would love to have the option to buy DVDs of a specific person's training track. Then I can do the workout where it fits in my schedule.
I know Madonna Grimes has workout DVDs available through another company. But I can't seem to find any for Tommy Deters, Sarina Jain, or Petra Kolber.

So I did Shimmy today and was HIGHLY dissapointed!! It was boring first of all and hard to learn. It is filmed more like a soft adult show more than a workout show. Camera angles are useless and I didnt feel like I was working out at all.... Don't waste your time on this one... it is lame!
