That Gina Lombardi doesn't look to be in very good shape to be hosting a show like "fit" nation. The show itself seems to be a waste of airtime.. the two times I've watched it, she doesn't seem to be able to lift much weight when trying out the fitness machines. She just seems chunky and out of shape to me. I think the airtime would be better spent w/Gilad, Sharon or Cathe... people who *are* in shape.
I agree! Contact FitTV by clicking the "Contact Us" link at the bottom on the site, and send them a message about what you think of the program scheduling. Maybe they will listen, because they obviously aren't looking at the message boards full of unhappy people!
I completely agree with you. Fit Nation has great potential, but Gina Lombardi does it no justice. She is not in shape. Even her nails are telltale - what serious fitness person has nails that look like talons?! Right now Fit Nation is one of the many filler shows on FitTV.
Prior to the filming of the show she just had a baby. Unless you are going to starve yourself or excercise 3-5 hours a day, it does take some months to get back to your pre-pregnancy weight. Plus I question the ideal that everyone who is super thin is fit. I think that women have a range of shapes and sizes, and you can be "larger"(which in today's world seems to mean anything above a size 00) and still be an excellent example of a healthy, fit person.
As I mentioned in my original post.... she cannot lift *any* amount of weight, seems to have zero indurance and stamina and is not the picture of fitness. I realize she just had a baby... she would be a great host for a getting back in shape after baby program. Not "Fit Nation". I'm with you on the ideal of a fit body. Super thin figures are *NOT* a healthy picture of fitness anymore than Gina's chunkiness is. I named Cathe (not a size 0), Sharon (not a size 0) and Gilad. Denise Austin is not a size 0 and is in awesome shape. I just wish they'd take Fit nation off and replace it with some real workout programs.
