Hi and welcome to the DJ boards!!!

If you're new here you probably have a lot of questions about Dirty Jobs. Here is a list of links that will take you to great stuff like Mike's bio, FAQs, viewer questions, etc., that may answer that question you have about Mike or the show.

If you only have time to read one section, I would recommend reading "Of Mike and Marriage aka Mike's FAQs...cathy1970's outstanding contribution to the board!

If you want to post a job suggestion, go here--

Job suggestions

For those of you interested in reading Mike's posts here's how. Click here, which will take you to one of his posts. Now, click on his username on the left hand side. A dropdown box will appear; just click on "view recent posts." All of his posts will appear.

If 2000+ is a little too much for you then you can narrow down the search. The easiest way is to scroll to the top of this page and click on "Find." Then click on "Advanced search." When that page comes up scroll down to the calender and enter the date range you want to look at and then in the box that says "username" enter "mikerowe" (you don't need quotes). Hit enter. All of his posts for that time period will then show up.

The Video Vault -- If you go to "video search" at the top plug in "Mike Rowe Dirty Jobs" all 100+ clips will come up for you. There are some wonderful gems in there!

New here, but have watched the show for over a year, at least.

I've got a question for Mike. Can someone direct to the best thread to post it? Thanks!

Hey Average Joe, welcome to the DJMB!!

I'm going to be completly honest with you(because it's Thanksgiving and the wine is talking). Mike has been gone from the boards for about three weeks. When he returns, it will probably be in the "Mike's Mud Room" forum, which is the best place to ask him a question. Before you ask a question, however, it's best to be sure that it has not been asked before. Check out the FAQs and the Newbie thread. If its a job suggestion, go to the "Suggest a Job" forum. If its about the show in general you might want to try the "Dirty Crew" forum because sometimes Barsky drops by and answers a few questions.

Good Luck!

Hiya Laurann and thanks!

I read all the FAQs and the newbie area and while there's something in the FAQs that's somewhat close to an answer to my question, it's not quite a complete answer.

Assuming Mike returns (where did he go anyway?), think it's worth asking him anyway?

Well, if it's something that he may have touched on in the FAQs there maybe a chance that he's talked about it elsewhere. I might be able to help you more if I know what your question is. He might have given a more complete answer since the FAQs were written.

He talks about it a little in the bat cave-related FAQ, but I was wondering what he considers his most dangerous, most frightening dirty job? I've seen him do some outrageously dangerous stuff on DJ, but what does he (so far) consider his most dangerous dirty job?

Here is what he has said:

quote:
Are you kidding? I'm frightened all the time. The ostrich farm, the alligator pen, the golf course water hazard, the noodling pond, the bat cave, the oil derrick - I have a healthy fear of most things that would give the average person pause. By far, the most Frightening Moment of my adult life occurred on the ocean floor, 55 feet below the surface, during the filming of shark week. That incident will air in early August, in a special called Jobs That Bite Harder. Stay tuned, and save your money. Dirty Jobs will be in repeats for 20 years.

Mike

Bumping just because.....

If you haven't checked out the "Need to do some shopping" link, please do. There's lots of websites from the jobs that Mike has visited.
