Are you the mom to the boy at the end of the show regarding Vegas pigs? He was a total doll.

Guilty...lol Thank you. My son was so excited about just meeting Mike, he, we never thought he would actually get to say a few words on his all time favorite show. We even had a popcorn party in his honor. Silly, but it really made his day.

That was really cute!! Hunter trying to repeat what Mike told him to say... it came out rather well. I don't know who was more pleased with the final result, Hunter or Mike. He was such a natural, and so unafraid of the camera.

Has to be the best segment so far. I was in utter wonder at the whole visit with Bob. What a natural he was too!! I absolutely loved his inventions, esp. the pig-fooder/feeder motorized cart!! Mike had a fun time with that one!!

Therese.

P.S. I bet Mike now has a fan for life, with respect to Hunter!!

Yes for life in Respect in Hunter, but also in Bob. He has been beeming since he did the show. He thought the crew was a great group, who he said, "Made it easy to be me."

That's great to hear!! Looks like everyone had a terrific time, and memories for life!!

You bet I'll watch that episode again when it is repeated. It was the best yet!!

Please tell Bob he did look natural, and that he and Mike were getting along famously, and the crew too!!

That show with the pig farmer and that absolutely disgusting food processor was the best you have done. Working second shift at your favorite former employee (QVC) I always tape your show, Hilarious.

Is that pig farm even legal? The ones in Iowa are much much cleaner. That farm in Vegas looked like the city dump with a pig farm in the middle.

I'm a BIG fan of Dirty Jobs just because Mike Rowe is such a likeable guy! After seeing the Las Vegas pig farmer show, I had to respond! That show was by far, THE FUNNIEST SHOW EVER! I was laughing outloud the whole pig segment. Mike and Bob should go out on the comedy circuit. What a gas those two were! All the inventions were pretty cool, except how they had to pull latex, and other real garbage out. Yuck! I loved watching the two of them climb up the ladder to the stew pot, and later slop the food into the motorized cart. Dumping food is their bowl was a futile act; just dump it on their heads. They can eat it off of each other! Please show this again soon, and go back for another extended segment visit. This was the best of the best! Can't wait to see it again!

I kept waiting for Mike to say," Well, this is all the stuff that you turn away at the buffet, and in turn the pigs turn it into bacon so you in turn can again turn it away to be brought back here. And so continues the circle." That segment in my opinion has to be the dirtiest ever.....How he can live there I will never know.

I remember seeing that. Whenever Mike interacts with the kids its always good tv because you never know what they will say next.

It is fun seeing Mike react with children. Both on TV and in person. He was great with Hunter. Mike let Hunter follow him around the Pig Farm the entire day. Hunter talked his ear off and he seemed perfectly at ease and interested, (even if Mike had no idea what Hunter was talking about) to Hunters conversation.

It made Hunters day, one he will never forget.

I will talk to the owner. I am not exactly sure if they have more, but I will email you once I find out.

Thank you from Hunter, he tells everyone he is famous. What a memory!

I saw that episode and just thought the little boy (Hunter) was a doll.

And that had to be the best dirty job I have ever seen on the show.

Unfortunately, it is legal. It is on county land, surrounded by the city of North Las Vegas. I live a couple of miles away, and when the wind is blowing from that direction. the smell is overpowering.

What ?

That farm is legal ?

Would it be legal elsewhere in the USA ? How is it possible to treat such a disregard to hygiene as legal...

I can't believe how any municipal, state or federal authority in the US could not simply arrest such a "farmer" for endangering the lives of so many.

And that "Dirty Job" episode is not beeing aired only within the United States.

Probably it is already causing a lot of damage to all us pig farming...

Unbelievable...

it really wasnt that bad, most of the parts where they disregarded hygeine were before they cooked it. Once they cooked it all the bacteria would be killed and from the cooker it went right into a truck i think.

Funny, seems that farm was there BEFORE you came and built/bought your house.

I live about 5 miles away, in NLV (Aliante) which is still a great area without the smell.

I find it disgusting that the builders and the residents are giving this poor guy so much grief. He's been there A LOT longer than you.

The Vegas Valley is huge, you didn't have to move there. Deal with it.
