10. Iron weapons. Nuff said. 9. The crossbow. the ancient world's equivalent to the AK-47, anyone could use it! 8. Gun powder. it paved the way for all explosives. 7. the chariot- the world's first AFV 6. the Minet ball. Now You can hit the enemy! 5. the catapult/trebujet(? sorry about the spelling)/ballista. The first artillery! 4. Aircraft. 3. the Aircraft carrier. 2. the tank. and the number one is....The Infantryman. what's the deadliest weapon in the world? The Marine/Soldier and his rifle. everything else is useless with out him.
I dont know if you can read much less watch tv but its about WEAPONS and the have to be from THE PAST 60 YEARS ok? you list is moral and all but seriously follow the rules, a man is a weapon but you cant upgrade him uless you strap on a power suit like that guy from batman =P
...that's a "fair" list... But, It failed to include the SSBN (subermarine)... the ultimate stealth weapon... the "one" weapon that can put the entire Planet to "sleep" from under the Artic ice and still make it to Rio for Carnival and "liberty"...

Hey, Blue, just for idle curiosity, but why would this discussion be called "My top ten list"? In other words, IF you had 10 weapons, any weapons, YOU could add them in for fun. I don't recall any criteria when I started it, did you?
...I get a "kick" out of all these Land Based (so called great weapons)... "they" are all targetable ! ...have your Tank come find the SSBN (somewhere under the 7/8ths of the Planet) Have your B-2 do a "fly-over" of the Worlds Oceans... all it's going to see is "WATER". Given the call...the SSNB will put them all to sleep...ZZZzzzzzz (and at any given moment...there are "7" of them "out there")
The only effective weapon on your list is the aircraft, the carrier, and the tank. But out of those the only one which shaped the future of the world was the Aircraft Carrier. I guess you cant have a carrier without aircraft but then dont put aircraft on the list eh. Your missing the SSBN, ICBM, and all those other powerful, world changing weapons!
Future warrior "all those other powerful, world changing weapons!" When the first caveman dicovered that he could take fire to defend his home from the beasts of his time, would you not say that was world changing weapon? and what of black powder? or the flintlock and the musket? This isn't a list of specific time period weapons, just ones that you may believe to change the world. Subs do have a place for that, but I don't believe they have made a great impact over generations. Did the Hunley change maritime warfare? or open the door to a new way of warfare at sea? While you are thinking that over, why haven't you placed your top 10 list here? This is just a list of thought and opinion, not open ridicule against an individual. If you are looking to dump on someone's thread, find another discussion group or forum.
