in the episonde with the Barrett M468 (not sure which episode number, I watch them on youTube) Mack compared the 'lethality' of the 5.56 NATO to the 6.5 and 7.62 (specifically the 7.62x39 soviet) by comparing the kinetic energy of the different calibers. why was this method used? anyone who has used the 5.56NATO knows that it's not the kinetic energy of the round that provides it's lethality, it's the design of the bullet and what it does inside the Human body!
next time, just please make sure you do a demonstration that actually MATTERS! comparing the KE of the 6.5 and 7.62mm might have been a good comparison, but for Christ's sake, do not compare KE and tumbler rounds.
Well, techinically ALL spitzer shaped rounds will 'tumble' inside the body. What makes the 5.56mm different is that it breaks apart when it starts to yaw.
