Yes I was surprised at the Russian MB1, that aside I am suree some of the viewers of this show are either current or ex-military with that being said most of you know that the abilities and specs of these weapon systems shown may not be 100% complete or accurate. I must say my what I was surprised the most not to see was the AC-130 series of aircraft, granted I may be a little biased being a previous pilot of AC-130h and AC-130u models. This is a weapon system that has a very distinctive sound when overhead and that sound is enough to put the fear of God into the hearts of our opponents. I have seen people in numbers throw down their weapons with us not even firing a single shot. The only other aircraft that I know of that comes close to the fear factor is a A-10 or an AH-64 I had to include Army aviation in their some how. I have to agree with our carriers being number one though.
Please, The AC-130 is only good if the enemy has ZERO air defense, even a little AAA and well now it's a fight and guess who is going to win? Any return fire and the AC-130 better get out of dodge.
You can not always assume that you will be up against an undisiplined and illtrained enemy.
why wasnt the nuke number 1? It ended WW2 and ushered in the cold war, and the Nimitz wouldn't be as much of a super carrier without nuclear engines. And what about the AH-64 too?
