I hate host Danny Forster with a passion. He has now ruined two of my favorite shows on TV; Extreme Engineering and Build It Bigger. I’m confident that these two shows are targeted for the male audience, but Danny acts like a little girl. I have totally stopped watching this show because of him. We want to see guys like Mike Rowe or Paul Sr. More importantly, these shows have lost their focus. Danny talks about and shows his experience. I really don’t care to know about his experience or about the workers at the site. I care about the project. They spend so much time showing BS stuff that you never really get the bigger picture.
If they want to improve this show and get me back as a viewer, Discovery Channel needs to take two steps. 1) remove Danny Forster 2) focus on the project not about getting a portion of the project. Like the way the old Extreme Engineering shows used to. No host, just narration.
Anyone that response to this and supports Danny is a family member, friend, or co-workers. If your not one of these, I encourage you to share your voice with me to Discover producers and executives.
I totally disagree and think Danny brings a level of intellect, realism, and comedy that we need more of. I had enough of Paul Sr. after a season. And I've never met Danny or anyone who works for the show.
Im with you that guy is such a little girl. I was watching the coaster show right now and the construction workers are even making fun of him for this metrosexual pants. I decided enough was enough and was going to email the producers and then I found this, looks like I am not the only one.
I, for one, say YES to Danny Forster. Thanks to him I have a new appreciation for such large scale engineering projects. Compare to most engineers and architects I've met, his personality makes the content accessible to us non-engineering types. Don't get me wrong, I can appreciate the more technical shows. Its nice to be entertained while learning about the projects Build It Bigger covers.
I completely agree!! I have never been so disgusted by a host that I've actually gone online looking for the show's creators to complain about him!! I'm continually amazed at his incompetence... and not at all in an endearing way! He's continually screwing something up, and the workers that have to deal with him even complain on camera! I can just imagine what they're saying off.
Since when is incompetence rewarded???
He may be a good architect, but he is not even a passable host or team member. And his whining and excuses are pathetic and old.
I LOVE the Discovery Channel. My husband and I could watch it for days without ever changing the channel. Now I just see him and the channel's changed immediately.
this is also my first time to actually look up a show so i can complain about the host . it's disgusting watching him sasha around jobsites like a preppy . it's not cute or funny. I guess i'm just tired of "it's ok to be gay". I keep trying to watch the show because it's got great potential but then I always end up turning the channel in disgust.

To whom it may concern at Discovery: Please don't listen to the Danny naysayers. Danny adds a sense of fun and adventure to the show, letting us, the audience experience these amazing projects through his eyes. And thanks for not having every show hosted by a Mike Rowe imitator (don't get me wrong, Mike's great, but Danny is just as entertaining -- and you don't want the same type of host on every Discovery program). Danny is a reason why I *want* to watch BIB!
Hi, I just saw the show, the Trump Tower one. I really liked how Danny explains everything. I'd find other architectural shows boring and too serious. I like Danny's style. Fun, simple, and he's hot. If someone doesn't like the show just switch the channel or make your own. Don't go attacking him. I don't mind reading well-thought out respectful suggestions like "Some viewers don't like his style of talking about architecture. Please replace him with so and so."
Not only is the guy smart and funny, he actually comes across as having a great time doing the show. He loves architecture (so do I). As a bonus, he's pretty hot to look at. And I spotted a pierced nipple in the Shanghai World Financial Center episode (he dives into a pool shirtless). I'm now addicted to the show. Keep up the great work, Danny!
