It appears that the labor is missing from the "spend-o-meter" on the show. Yet, it also appears that Barry is very happy when the spend-o-meter amount is met at the auction. That seems like the "break-even" point that everyone is looking for.

On the "Green-Machine" episode, there was one mention of labor being in the 400-hour-range. At $65 an hour, that's $26000. The actual rate is probably more, but regardless, that's a substantial amount, unless it's donated or subsidized by TLC. Personally, I wouldn't get excited until all costs were met!

I'm also aware that this is TV, and that a certain amount of drama is injected, even in reality shows. Still, I want you guys to know that it's my favorite car show on TV - by far! Very enjoyable!
