Loyal fans: Production has ended on I SHOULDN'T BE ALIVE after 20 episodes, and there are no new episodes being shot for premiere in '07. Thanks so much for enjoying the incredible ride on this groundbreaking Discovery Channel program that successfully mixes exciting true life stories with the science behind human survival. Now part of the "Discovery Classics" series, ISBA continues to appear off and on in midday, usually between 1p and 3p. Episode anthologies are also available for rent or sale through ours and other sites [shopping.discovery.com] and stores around the world.

It ended due to a lack of viewers. The show has been cancelled and no new episodes are in production or will be going into production. Try the upcoming new series "True Heroes".

I cant believe you canceled a show that showed. real people in real survival situations and real survival techniques. yet you keep airing man vs Wild with advice that is going to get someone killed.

What a bummer...I'm majorly disappointed...a fantastic show. Man vs Wild is my other favorite. I read that they've criticized Bear for spending a couple of nights in a hotel..well, I don't think this lessens his intelligence and ability to survive at all..no doubt he did it for good reasons..like some rest!! It doesn't mean that all he teaches us in the shows is any less effective, and if any of us find ourselves in a similar situation, his advice is still excellent and might help us to survive. People generally think 'small'..Bear is a fantastic person, totally entertaining, and so far as I'm concerned, brilliant at what he does. If this is the worst 'deception' any of us suffer from something on t.v......? Try watching some of these political airings lately...all I can say, is "Go Bear!!" I'd follow you anywhere, and no doubt get there alive. "I Shouldn't Be Alive" will be sorely missed by a lot of people...it was a real tribute to the human spirit...quality show, and there are so few of them.

This is total crap. I agree, this show was great. Poor ratings??? Well lets see, Fridays at 9/10, what do you expect!? Put it on Tuesdays at 10 instead of that damn show Cash Cab! Let's start a letter campaign! This show ranks right up with Survivor Man and Man Vs. Wild!!!

I wonder if they would respond to a petition... I love that show, and most other shows they have: mythbusters, a haunting, man vs wild, dirty jobs... But ISBA is my favorite ever

If anyone wants to start a letter campaign, as mentioned, or anything else to keep ISBA on the air, count me in....let's do it....

While I don't quite understand how television works, why does a show get canceled from "lack of viewers?" Is advertising space really that important?

I haven't heard of "True Heroes," but from the title it sounds a lot less interesting and it'll probably get canned as well.

Aw, I miss this show. I randomly remembered this show. It was my favorite, I was wondering why they didn't show any more episodes of this.... by far, this was the best Discovery Channel Show I've seen - it was interesting, and did a great job of blending real life with science. What a loss....
