What is the process for choosing a body? Is there a conversation with the family first and then it is recorded? Why would a family agree to do this? Is there any benifet to them?
Do U mean.. when a medical examiner starts his/her day they chose a body from the morgue to autopsy.. well if they choose a body they call their family and tell them that they are going to preform to autopsy to let them know!
Guys, i think they mean how is a body chosen to be on the show. I think Dr. G uses some of her most interesting/shocking cases, and asks the family if it is ok. If that is what you mean, i don't know why the family agrees to do it. If i ever meet Dr. G that is something i would ask her.
Yes, I always wondered how they chose which stories to pursue..I'm sure that the family just wants the answers...that is the only benefit that they get out of it.
I would assume that they choose cases that are interesting and/or are of some educational benefit to the general public. And obviously they'd have to pick the ones where they could get permission from the family members of the decedent.
