What a terrific comedy/fictitious show. I live about 20 miles from where Bear jumped from the chopper. I have lived here 48 years. We have no boars, no gators, no sub-zero temperatures, and in the last year or so, no forest fires.

We do have flying, lying, crap eating Bears that frequent the area.

The show had to be filmed in winter, beacuse there would have been about 50 hikers in those woods in any other season.

The photographers did do a great job keeping the highways out of their footage.

WHAT A JOKE! WHAT A LIAR. WHAT A LOOSER!

This show is a fraud and should be removed from the air!

There are gators in Alabama. about an hour west of you the Tennessee River has a large number of them. especially on wheeler lake.

wild boars are also common in alabama, but also hardly ever seen. (deer are much more common).

I agree with you though that the highways are very close to this area. he could have easily walked to a highway in only a couple hours from about any point in that sequence.

I am a native of Huntsville Al.
Would someone tell me where Bear jumped from the chopper.

Regardin Bear's comments on sub-zero temperatures, I'm giving Bear the benefit of the doubt that he's was referring to Celcius and not Farenheit.

However, I must admit, I didn't recognize my home state from his description of "Wild Alababma" .

it's maybe an hour and half or a little more from Huntsville. beautiful area.

..but where's the lie?? is it The fact that the episode wasn't filmed in some remote, lifeless speck of earth that makes it a lie??

Is it really that hard to sit and watch MvW without feeling the need to challenge everything that may be outside of camera view??

How do you watch anything on TV or in theater, it must be frustrating for you searching for REAL TV..LOL

"WHAT A JOKE! WHAT A LIAR! WHAT A LOOSER!"

you sound like sour grapes to me...50 yrs old and a bit jealous of ol Bear are we.

The show starts out with Bear saying – “I’m Bear Grylls. I’m going to show you what it takes to get out alive from some of the most dangerous places on Earth. I’ve got to make it through a week of challenges in the sort of places you wouldn’t last a day without the right survival skills”

According to the locals Bear would have passed right by a picnic shelter at one piont. Personally I’ve never seen a picnic shelter in the “sort of place you wouldn’t last a day without the right survival skills”. I can see why some people would consider that statement to be stretching the truth more than just a little

Nuh-Uhhh...really?? right past a PICNIC SHELTER?? Well that totally ruins it for me.

Something else I hate is when..like in a movie..when...you know... it looks like people are in a real airplane...and..and... their really not...their just really on a movie set..that looks like an airplane..I HATE THAT! Don't you Jeff ??

Well I’ve never been to a fictitious movie that was advertised as a legitimate documentary, with actors who claimed to be real life airline pilots despite the fact that they actually know very little about planes, so…no, I don’t hate that.
