I have been a fan of the show ever since I saw it for the first time. I love watching all the doctors do what they do for the animals. Whille I dont have a favorite person on the show the one person I believe I could learn so much from is Dr.Kevin Fitzgerald. He seems to have a genuineness about him that is beyond describing. I would love to pick his brain for a whille and ask questions. I have always wanted to work with animals and I believe he is the right person for the job to help me realize how working with animals is very rewarding.

I have had ferrets myself before they are fun animals but when they dont feel good they need help. What kind of ferret do you have? is it a sable or a albino? sometimes they get allergies. How old is your ferret? I had one that was 9 years old which is good for a ferret however she got tumors which where cancer and there was nothing we could do for her and she died. Hi Mabel and Good morning. I have 5 ferrets 4 boys and one little girl. They are light color sables. I had one black one with the black mast we lost him last year from cancer. I have a good ferret vet. . I had 3 that had the adreal surgery. One had the blockage after 3 month of recover from surgery. I saw e-vet where Dr. Fitzgerald gave punken to a ferret that ate an eraser. Boy I hope none of mine will do that. So anyway the one that had the 2 surgerys his hair isn't growing back like it should it has been over 4 months and it is like peach fuz. I may call out there and see if I can talk to him. Plus all he does is sleep he will get up and eat, drink, poop and right back to bed he goes. Has of ages I am guessing Rocky is maybe 5, Scooter 6, Diamond a year, Dolly is 4, and Johnny Depp maybe 6. My vet said that adreal glands don't afect ferrets till they get pass 5 years of age. Hi Sheila, I am glad to have heard from you. It sounds like you love ferrets as much as I do. I have loved them since I was a child. I do not have any right now but am always looking to get one or two soon. My first ones where Shasha and Snowden. I love Shasha at nine like I said when she died Snowden became very depressed she wouldnt play or anything so then I got Bandit he was a very big sable male but she loved him very much and was he old self again. We didnt have him very long one day when I was at work I worked at a pet store my Husband called and said that bandit wasnt moving so I told him to bring him in there was our vet in the same building as the pet store he brought him in and we found out that he had been bleeding internally for sometime but didnt show signs of being sick untill then. We had to have him put to sleep as there was nothing they could do he was sold to us that way. Then we got Willie he was just a few months old when he came to the pet store I used to take care of him everyday and noticed that he wasnt being very active so I had the vet check him out he was dehydrated so he put him on meds and I gave them to him everyday then one day when he was all better my boss told me that he was going home with someone and my Husband came in and got him without me being told he did it for a surprise to me. He got very big Snowden loved him like he was her own child. She was an albino and he was sable. I had them for sometime untill I lost them both but would love to have them again. I do have squeamish feelings towards some animals but respect them all and squeamish or not I still love them all. I have also volunteered at a good few places. I have been watching animal planet for a very good while and am a huge fan of yours. I have always wanted to be a zoologist or/and a vet, but I struggle learning by book. I learn fast hands on, so learning that just from school and just barley graduating has made me very weary the go into college for animal care. But you inspired me to just kick myself in the rump and try, but I don't know of any colleges in my area that has zoologist or/and vet courses in Pensacola, Florida. Where do I turn? How do I get started? What should I expect? What to do? I appreciate and thank you for your time. I just got to say that you’re my hero and my favorite person in the world. I would love to meet you some day. What would just make my whole world is to one day study under you, if I get to make it into college under animal care. Hi, I am new hear and have a question that maybe I can get some help with. I have a male chihuahua who is my love. He is 3 years old yesterday. He has two back legs that need to have the knee repaired. I was told be the vet that he was born with them. He walks bowlegged now and I need to get them fixed. Is there any place that you know of that can help me. They say its a thousand dollars a leg. (and that just an estamate) Is there any agencys that can help me pay for this. I am on a limited income and I am handicapped so he is important to me. He gets his meds and his vet visits. I just can't do this surgury. I will not give him up, If I have to I will sell everything I own and pay but I need help with this. Eventually down the line his adopted brother who turned 3 in Feb. also has a bad back knee but I am not worried about that he runs like crazy. He is funny to watch. His name is Zorro and I have a question about him also. His soft spot on his head never closed and I was wandering if that is something I should worry about. Thank you so much for your time. Ginny
Sorry for the mix ups. They are not that fury gray creatures. They are my two dogs who are Chihuahuas. They are important to me and am looking for help somewere on getting them help.
I had lived in Denver for over 10 years, and the only vet we had at that time was Dr. Kevin Fitzgerald. This was before the E-vet location. He took care of my wolf-hybrid, Sheeba and Rottie mix, Hooch. We've never seen such kindness and concern for our animals as he had. It seemed like he knew they were our kids, not just our "dogs". (They both saved my husband's and my lives by waking us to a fire in a condo next door.) Thank you for the kindness and sincerity you provided to us over our family. I watch your program just to get a site of you, and tell everyone we know how great of a vet you really are. Thank you for being you!

Another note: I took my other cat once to a vet service, They took Ming back in the room, I heard her meoing pretty hard and slamming ... I porseeded to go forth to the room in which this was happening, and was walking full force... when the Accountant told me to wait. and shortly after that My Ming died. We NEED good Vets Here. There is No Vet Service in the Town in which I Live. I'm praying for a GOOD one.
Dr .Fitzgerald, I know you can not be everywhere at one time. But, I sure wish and Pray to The Almighty that You are lead here to take care of Animals.
And if you can not make it, send your clone... just make sure he is almost as nice as you and cares for animals the way you do.
