in the movie he dark knight morgan freman makes a cell phone that is actually a sonar. I was wondering if you can really make a sonar that small and work good enough to see a lot of rooms in the building?

Can you test the myth about the person falling under the train and being cut in half or having the legs cut off. In the urban myth the train coterizes the wound and prevents the person from bleeding out. I have found a few articles where this happened but who know if it is true or not.

Most people posting this cell phone popcorn myth joined just to ask that question. They may not be too familiar with how forums work or the find feature. You could handle those situations with a little more respect. Even most of the posters in this thread are admitting they do not know what they are doing. This is a respected site for a well respected show on a magnificently respected channel.

I heard once that if you put a stick of dynamite into frozen fish it can be lethal. If that true?

It could be possible if you had enough web. You would need a ton of spiders though. You would probably need latex gloves to keep the web from sticking to your hands.

My son asked a good question that I didn't know the answer to, and I think it would be good for an EXPLOSIVES episode.

Would a thick fuse burn faster than a thin fuse? The thicker fuse you'd think has more powder, but... the thinner fuse has less to burn. Ah. So.

There ya go.

I haven't seen dark knight but it sounds similar to echolocation, which a lot of blind people can do naturally without fancy equipment, myself included.

yes i have seen pics of an accident at speeds around 60 mph. the seat belt only has to rub against someones neck and thats all it takes to be decapacitated. Altough experts are working on decreasing the likely hood of that happening

Seriously newbies...if you want to be a respected member here, please take a moment to actually understand the rules, the layout the the forum, etc. It's really not too much to ask. I figured it out the same day I joined (well, pretty much Smile).
