I heard that if you were to eat Pop Rocks then drink a can of Soda your stomach will expand and rupture. I think you would just burp a lot!
But the guys at work are telling me that it happends so fast there is no time to burp.. is there anyone that can help me win this one?!

No, we can't help you win because by coming here and asking an overposted question that could easily be found using the 'find' key, plus it was tested on Mythbusters...we can't help you win because...you've already lost.

Okay now, you're saying these guys at work so you're obviously old enough to have a job and you're on the site so you obviously have access to the internet.

You can play a trick on the guys at work. Go in with pop rocks and soda and dare them. If they chicken out, do it yourself.

Or, you can just show them the 28 pages or so on Google that explains it.

Wow I did not realize that people on these kind of forums were so rude! Before I posted my question, I did search it on this site and all I found was a discussion on pop rocks and cola exploding your mouth!
I did not realize that Mythbusters had already tested this myth.
But after Roofingguy's reply.. I searched some more and did find the episode!
I was only looking for a YES or NO answer to my question because clearly there are people on here that watch the show more religiously then I do. (It is rare for me to find the time to watch any Television)
Thank you roofing guy for at least letting me know that they had already tested this Myth.

Go back to the MB home page , click on the video link, I think they have a clip from the pop rock episode.


Some people log in here just to spam ideas with no regard for the community , they just jumped to the conclusion you were one of those people .

Piglett, it's not that we're trying to be rude. Imagine how you'd feel if you had 50 different people ask you the same question over and over again after you'd already answered to the first 2 or 3 people. Why did the other 47 not bother doing a little research by asking the first 3, you wonder? That would save everyone a bit of headache.

Or imagine how you'd feel after making this beautiful machine and including explicit instructions on how to use it, only to have the same 50 people ask you how the thing works. Why don't they read the instructions?

This is what we fans face every day. If you plan to be a regular on this site, you, too, will face this and cop the same attitude after a short while. People could save a lot of trouble just by using the "Find" function or Google. If folks did this more, we wouldn't have 100 people asking us if water in a plastic bag hung over your door will keep the flies out of your room and we'd be pulling out less hair.

By posting a query without doing any research, you run the risk of repeating a topic that has been discussed here. This, to us, makes the poster look foolish and lazy. Dig? We don't hate you, Pigster, we just wish folks would do a bit of research before posting here, so as to save energy on both sides.
