I liked the movie ironman but i was wondering can a person in a suit made of titanium actually fly using small jets in the palm of your hand and the botom of your foot

that would probably move you some how. Not sure if I'd call it 'flying' but I guess you'd go somewhere.

remember the Ming Dynasty 'skyrocket chair' episode

And would you have any control if you could actually get into the air?

it would be similar to a 'rocking goblin' where all of those flaps would be absolutely necessary to steer but most mobility would probably come from the flight STABILIZERS in your palms. his actual propellant system was manly in the boots and when he flipped and hit the wall he made the gauntlet ones in an attepmt to control himself better but most likely it would take months of grinding on a supercomputer to get the forces of the stabilizers right and the contours of the suit another three months.
