Once again today I was disappointed to see a responder who attacked another forum member for posting an opinon that was different from theirs. I do not understand this attitude. Aren't we all here for the same reasons? To ask questions, give our views, and to learn from each other? We are not always going to agree but that does not make us adversaries! This board is about fashion. Some posters bring up more serious issues (interview outfits) and some are more fun (Halloween costumes) but all deserve fair, thoughtful, and kind answers. If an opinion is given that does not match yours that is not cause to belittle or mock the other person. Accept that there are other views and feel free to state your own but without denigrating or demoralizing. I do not believe that there is only one "right" answer to any question. I do not in any way consider myself a "fashion expert" but there are experts I deeply respect (Jeffery Kalinsky, Tim Gunn) and they would not say there is only one style, or shape, or look, for everyone for any given season. That is not what fashion is about. If it was, every runway show would be exactly the same. How boring! Some of us want to be trendy and some of us care more about evolving our personal style. It is easier to be trendy. Just buy the latest sheath dress or belt a cardigan or wear skinny jeans. But to be truly fashionable takes more effort. To develop your personal style you must understand your own look and make it work for you. That comes from knowing which fit flatters your shape and size and building a diversified wardrobe that takes into account your personality and lifestyle. Build a foundation of basics then add the accessories and a few key pieces to update. Know who you are and be confident in that. We are on this journey together and should be helping one another, not hurting feelings. Fashion is suppose to be fun.

Thank you for posting that...I think its something to always keep in mind. Its fine to speak your mind, and some people are more naturally blunt than others, but we should all strive to at least be civil, IMO.
