The other day a customer at the store I work at wore a pink and green camo hoodie sweatshirt, medium wash jeans, green croc-style sandals, and pink socks. I had to bite my lip to keep from laughing.
Thankfully I didn't see this in real life, but in a catalog that came in the mail today - "alluring" silver lame leggings (they come in gold too!). Quote from catalog: "These sensational full length leggings fit like a second skin, dazzling your audience as you shimmer into view." Hope the audience is wearing sunglasses!
cristalle1, I actually seen someone wearing the gold leggings! I posted about it earlier (pg 4 or 5) and you're right, it was a sunny day and I was nearly blinded!lol....I LOVE this thread!
This was at school: pink sweatpants, black sweatshirt, Uggs boots (I think they were tan), and a Hello Kitty backpack. btw, when I say school, I mean college.
I'm glad to see people are keeping this thread going, speaking as its founder. The other day I was grocery shopping and noticed a woman wearing cornrows. She had to be in her early to mid-50s and the cornrows showed all of her grey hair. It was really unattractive.
When I was at Starbucks yesterday, one young woman had on a black t-shirt with some kind of design peeking out of a black and gray plaid hoodie sweatshirt with Happy Bunny pajama pants. I don't think this is what they mean by it being alright to mix patterns.
Last night at Sears automotive, it was cold, windy and raining and I saw a mid-50's Asian man who was wearing a bright red and blue winter cap (complete with white fuzzy tassel on the end) a puffy down vest, tee shirt, shorts and black dress shoes with mid calf black socks!
I'm afraid to say it, but it looks like the 80s are really back. Yesterday in JC Penney's I saw a short shapely young woman wearing black leggings stuffed into low suede scrunch boots and a huge oversized sweat shirt with a large leather jacket over it. Completing the look was her long, frizzy, wavy black hair with layered bangs on the top of her head that piled higher than anything I've seen in years and looked straight out of a "hair band". Everything was black. She couldn't have been more than 35, and I doubt she knew how authentic she looked! As someone who remembers that look well, I almost congratulated her on it until I realized how awful it looked!!! Say it ain't so that this part of the 80s is back too!
