I don't have any clue how to take a pic and post, but I love reading past discussions where people list what they're wearing. Me... Paris Blues jeans (dark wash) This tank in plum White cardigan Teal flats Very basic and easy since I'm going to be running around with teenagers all night. What about you?

This is actually the second time this topic has been resurrected, which goes to show you how much everyone really enjoys the thread! I'm taking my mom to get her mother's day gift (which is a tattoo) this evening, so I'm wearing dark-wash jeans, black knit shirt, leopard print heels, and this cool chunky red necklace. I, too, like when people post pics, since it really lets you see the outfit as a whole. Maybe this week I'll try to get a picture of something.

A perfect outfit, Ili. The yellow clutch is a fresh looking accessory. Everything coordinates nicely, but doesn't match!

I bumped up the old thread for some outfit ideas Today I wore khaki pants with a slim waistband and tab front, a maroon tank with a dark blue scoop neck over. Just the bottom of the dark red tank peaked out under the blue shirt. Also cream pumps with tan leather trim. I'll start taking pics again, I love everyones input on my outfits!

At first I was thinking like ilibaby... not today! But I quite like what I am wearing today. Which is... ash brown light cotton bootlegs from Target, scoopneck dark apple green pima cotton tee (10$ @ Marshall's), simple flat Naot black sandals, minimalist silver earrings, and my adds-class-everyday Coach Briefcase and Tag Heuer steel watch with mother-of-pearl face. I'd feel good in my PJs with the latter two items in tow. I had on a freshwater pearl choker that matched the earrings but took it off when I got to work and realized it looked like I was trying too hard. I've been dressing nicely all semester, but it's finals week and I'm having endless office hours for my students who clearly aren't very concerned about their final tomorrow. We have a funny reverse dress code at our university where the people who dress up the most are the administrative assistants and receptionists, or at the other end of the spectrum, the deans and vice presidents. So, I actually look a little more "professorial" than usual today. It's funny how pleasant it is to "dress down" when you usually don't, yet when you dress down all the time, it can make you feel sloppy. I guess that's the idea behind corporate casual Fridays.

I wish I a.) had a digital camera and b.) could upload pics for comments Alas... Today I'm wearing a dress much like this one. Except it was $14.99 at Marshalls and has more of a square neckline. It's black, and I tied the belt under the bust. These flatsAnd a coral 3/4 sleeve blazer, with a silver heart pendant.

Thanks Siepres! Its a busy day for me, work from 7-5, my first Tai Chi class, then home for groceries and cooking for dinner party tomorrow night. So the outfit had to be comfortable, not wrinkle in the 4 hour meeting I had this afternoon, and be quick to change into gym clothes and back again. This is sounding like a dreadfull day, so I will add its 70+ outside and SUNNY!!
Courtneykane, I love the idea of the black trendy dress with a flat and a coral blazer. I dont know how they all work together (do you have a camera on your phone, those work too!) My only watch-out would be the dress with all the details and the print on the shoe. Might be too much for me... then adding a bright coral into the mix... I dont know.

Sometimes I find that it's the comfortable outfits that make me feel the best when wearing them! I'm taking a test tomorrow, returning my shoes to Nordstrom, printing out a rough draft of a book, and just running errands in general. So, I'm wearing: khaki trousers (they finally fit again!!!), blue wrap top, leopard print peep-toes, this stone necklace I have which has sand, olive, brown, and gray stones, and carrying my dark brown bag. I need to install software to transfer photos from my dad's digital camera. Otherwise, I have to ask him to transfer pictures for me and then send them to my computer. You don't even want to know the sarcasm I get when I ask that, so as soon as I get my computer up and running, I'll start posting pics too. Courtney Kane, I like the idea of a bright jacket with a trendy dress and flats! It sounds great. Butterfly Ginger, that is one beautiful Coach brief case!

Well, now I'm in my comfy clothes, but earlier I was wearing an outfit that my husband bought me for my birthday. He never buys me clothes, so I thought it was cute. It's funny because he got both the jacket and the tank shown in the picture. I put a belt over the tank top to tone down the volume and define my waist. I then paired it with a darkwash denim pencil skirt and my aqua shoes. http://www4.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6.aspx?DeptID=50434&CatID...Id=50434|58022|58024I also really like this outfit with jeans, but I don't wear the belt with it then.

Brittonhoney, I like the layering. The coral under the white is very nice. I haven't figured out how to layer yet. I hope to learn soon! The problem with posting photos is trying to get someone in the family who isn't 'too busy' to indulge my request to take a photo of me but I found someone! It would be easier if I could figure out how to work the self timer on the camera! without jacketwith jacketThe shoes don't show up well. They are sling back Jessica Simpson's with a bit of a platform. I noticed today the heel is 'Ombre' - fades from black to white. I welcome any comment. I know I don't accessorize well. This outfit is typical - Neutral. I'm trying to move away from this but it's slow going.

zebra, i adore that skirt! where is it from?! i love the cut! do they have a petite line (shortie here, i need things on the knee) but i love the higher rise. you look fantastic, and there is so much you can do with it if you would like, but it looks very classic as is. muy versatile IMO. shoes are great too. i like her shoes. comfy and feminine! well done!!!

zebra, you look so posh! I love high waisted skirt! I think you could pair those beautiful animal print shoes you posted once or a bright colored shoe, and you could wear pretty much any jewelry with black and gray. I pretty much wear neutrals, too, and jazz it up w/crazy shoes.

Sipres, your outfit for tomorrow sounds great - comfy casual with great accessories, perfect for running errands! Shoediva, your husband did well shopping for your birthday! I like that you added a belt and a fitted skirt, I imagine it balances the volume nicely. Thanks zebra! I do layers all the time, mostly with a bright cami peaking out from the top of a v-neck or the bottom of a slightly shorter shirt. I stock up on camis when places like Old Navy have fun colors 2 for $12 (like right now!) Your outfit is great! That skirt is to dye for and you can totally pull it off with your shape. I like the sleekness of the tucked in shirt and pencil skirt under the fuller unstructured jacket. If it were me, I would wear a black or nude cami for coverage under the top though...

And I hit "post" too soon... I've got a camera phone, but no way to upload the pics or email them to myself. My house is undergoing renovations, so as soon as I unpack boxes in the next two weeks, I promise to unearth the digital camera and start taking pics

Siepres, I thought I needed software too but I didn't. I got my laptop in February and it came with an HP Photosmart Printer (el cheapo printer). Vista on my laptop wouldn't recognize the digital camera software so I thought I was cooked but my son said to just plug in my camera to my laptop and 'it'll work'. Ya, ok... Well it did! Maybe if you have some kind of printer that prints photos you don't need the camera software..
I thought posting photos was going to be hard but Ilibaby inspired me by using Photobucket. It was easy to set up (if I can do it, anyone can!).
Shoediva, you remember shoes people posted?? That's pretty good! You're right though, those shoes might amp the outfit up a bit!
Thanks for the kudos on the skirt! It is by Stills. I think it's a european line because the size is in european. I don't think it comes in petite but I'm 5'3". I don't think it can be shortened though because the back has a slit with buttons to make the slit bigger or smaller.
I would recommend taking photos, I had no idea the shirt was so sheer!!!!!!

FYI, I replied but it went to administration due to a trigger word - probably the brand name of the skirt! Hopefully the reply will show up soon. Thanks for the comments!

OHHHH been there! My outfit isn't anything special today, but its clean and fits properly! Black pinstripe pants, pale blue cami, white button down shirt, black pumps. The majority of my summer pants are in a pile waiting to be hemmed. For some reason they fit last year but are about 1/4" too long this year. I think its because I lost a bit of weight and they sit lower on my hips. I've already had them all taken in at the waist, so I don't want to do that again. If I keep loosing weight, I'm going to have to buy new pants!

Ili you are so pretty!! And that dress is fabulous Today I was recovering from a nasty hangover from last night (any beer that tastes like candy, for the record, will probably hurt the next day), so it was a gross-greasy-sweatpants day. Tonight I'm going out again, though, and I'm excited about my outfit! ~Dark wash straight leg jeans (that make my butt look fab ) ~Dark ivory crocheted cap sleeve deep v empire waist lined top (I got such a great deal on it- $29 down from $150 at Loehmann's, it's Laundry by Shelly Segal and this thing is GORGEOUS) with a dark pink lace trimmed cami underneath, because the v is a little TOO deep to go without ~Dark green Lucky leather clutch/wallet ~Hair will be down and straight, because I noticed that wearing it straight really shows off the color I just did (dark red) and sets off my green eyes My problem today is shoes- I wore the CUTEST leopard print flats last night that ATE MY FEET. I've got two massive holes in the back of my left foot and another on the back of my right, and it hurts to even have my pant cuff rub against them. I was going to wear them tonight too, but obviously that's out of the question. I have to wear something with either high straps or nothing on the back of my feet. So in the interest of not wearing Birkenstock flip flops to a nice night out, I'm going to have to suck up the fact that my jeans are SLIGHTLY too short for my wedges and just wear them, because the strap in the back will hit higher than the blisters. I couldn't even put on gym sneakers this morning, so today is definitely a matter of not wanting to cut my feet off over fashion

Kudos on putting together an outfit which made you appear so much taller than you actually are. And, to echo everyone else, that skirt is fab!
