I am going to my class reunion and I need some advice. I have a pair of black pants and a teal color over top. The problem is I need the shell to go underneath it and I don't know what color that top should be. If anyone has any advice or tips, I would appreciate it.

To answer your question, I actually got off my duff and went over to my closet to check out a new pair of satin Delman flats that have a print that includes teal and black.
But enough about me.

The colors that work well with teal include salmon and a bright light green. Some yellows are good, too.

If you choose a gorgeous contrast, as these will provide (the saturation level should be the same as the teal; not paler) you can add copper for your shoes. Carry a very small clutch in peanut.

If it were winter, I would have suggested a dark green for the shell.

If you need an outfit that is very slimming, wear a black shell, to create a column of black, with the teal jacket over. Then add the light green or salmon with the purse, which could be a larger structured clutch. With the black column, wear Ombre shoes.

Depending on the event (casual, cocktail, daytime, etc) you could use a brown shell then pop some yellow pumps & a raspberry clutch. I do not have a color wheel in front of me, but if you look at one take the two opposing colors like red, yellow, blue and pop those in this case I think it's teal, light yellow & raspberry. Also using black & brown in an outfit is hot! I know this sounds crazy in writing, but I can totally visualize it with maybe a small leopard print necklace & bracelet (brown & black) to bring cohesion.
