Hi
i recently bought a monochromatic purple -above knee tunic.
It falls as light A from below-chest.

I am planning to add a flower pin to it.
What color /size would look good .
does it look good in winter/fall?(i have never worn flowerpin before)

Any other additions to it.
How would a golden handbag ,Black or gray leggings do.

I just fell in love with my flower pins all over again, so I'm learning about them, too.

I think that you would be fine with a black flower pin like this one. It's large (6" diameter), so it will make a statement. Also, the clip-on back has limited versatility on tops, but would be great for attaching it to other pieces. If you're not sure, start with a smaller flower pin, maybe a 3" diameter.

You could also do purple-on-purple, but that's trickier.

Here's a placement suggestion.

You can also wear a flower pin to accent a belt, purse or scarf.

I think that either black or gray leggings would work, and the gold would go well with the purple.

Get one and play with it! They're really fun.

Oh, and this is a pretty cool tutorial for do-it-yourselfers. (HSM, are you reading this? Smile)

Yep black would work! Gold could too... or maybe a red, depending on the shade of purple. A lot of the flowers I've seen have been BIG - so I'm not really sure there IS a "too big" so go for what you like!

LC... now how did you know I was making flowers for Christmas? Here are a few other tutorials:

yoyo flowers - for a vintage look
my favorite - silk flowers
a convincing ribbon peony/carnation
a really funky flower
and a new style I'm practicing... French beaded flowers!
