Try: The Lucky Shopping Manual (the BEST book for learning the basics of wardrobe building and style), Stacy and Clinton's Dress your Best, any of the Trinny and Susannah books, Science of Sexy, The Budget Fashionista, and don't forget fashion magazines! I love to look at high end magazines like Harper's Bazaar and Vogue just to get ideas for new outfits and what's coming up. The items showcased are way out of my budget, but you can use the images from the magazines to duplicate the look for your body, lifestyle, and price range.
I just got Trinny and Susannah's book "The Body Shape Bible". As others have mentioned, once you know your body shape only a few pages deal directly with you. But I found it all interesting and friends can use it to ID and learn about their body type. Plus I am a little bit of a combination of two so it helps to look at both.
