I agree, it can be done. Make sure your shoes match your dress in terms of level of dressiness, though (red cork wedges with a daytime turquoise dress, for example). And I agree with ilibaby that neutrals (cream or tan or wood/straw/cork) in your accessories help to keep it from looking too over the top.

I love it. Don't add turquoise jewelry. Silver, lucite, or wood bangles would be great.
