I am currently dealing with Alopecia totalis, I have lost all of my hair, including my eyebrows and eyelashes. I am looking for ways to still look attractive despite the loss. Any suggestions?

Wow! That sounds so traumatic. I once took some acne medication that caused some hair to come out as a side effect, and it bothered me so much that I stopped the medication. Apparently I'd rather deal with zits than hair loss - who knew?

I have no practical experience with wigs, but the online stores selling them seem to have lots of good advice on choosing styles and colors, and how to take care of them. Think of this as your chance to try the hairstyle you always wanted. Me? I always wanted soft waves. What fun it would be to try it.

What about using a pair of subtle and natural glue-on eyelashes? I don't know what the options are as far as wear time, but it might be worth looking into. For eyebrows, what is always reccomended on WNTW is to use a powder formula to draw them on rather than using a pencil. I would guess it would just take some experimentation.

this may sound stupid, so forgive me. but when i see a woman who has lost her hair and she's wearing a bandana, i just think, "wow, how awesome to have so much self confidence that she doesnt wear a wig around!". i'm sure that alot of women wear wigs because they don't want sympathy. i think that you can be bald and still be beautiful. and im sure that you are! but, if you feel the need to wear a wig, then do so. you need to do whatever makes you comfortable. good luck!!
