Does anyone know cute and stylish jean brands for sizes 14-16.. Most of the jeans on WNTW and on other style shows are designer jeans that unfortunately only go up to a 10 or 12. (which is not fair!!) For example when Stacey was on Oprah she found great jeans for hard to fit girls, but they were still pretty thin and could fit into the designer jeans. I have had some luck with JCrew jeans but I would really like to branch out! ThankS!!!!

Have you tried plus size stores? They have lots of cute jeans, as long as you are not obsessed with brand names, Lane Bryant has some really nice ones, and Old Navy has at least size 20 as part of ther regular line in most stores, and has a plus size collection online (not sure if plus size is in stores tho)

Lane Bryant has some awesome designer jeans that I wish came in size 12, but unfortunately they start at size 14. I tried on a pair once and I could tell that if they came in my size I'd be all set. But you'd be in luck there!

I'm a size 16 and I've tried Layne Bryant jeans. I hate them. The rise is so high it looks like the waist is up in my armpits and the proportions are much different than "regular" sizes, which means they're made for pears - people with small waists and larger hips/butt. If that's your shape then great, but they look horrible on me and make me look HUGE.

I have pretty decent luck with Gap jeans, although they can sometimes look a little cheap. They sell up to size 16 in their store and up to size 20 online and in the outlet stores.

I just bought some Seven Jeans at Lane Bryant and love them. They have lots of styles, colors...so you can probably find some that you like and fit you well. If the price is too high, go in and try some on then head to e-bay and hope to get lucky. Good luck!

Recently I purchased a denim skirt at Old Navy that was a Marc Jacobs knock off design. It was a "premium denim" and it came in sizes up to 20. It had snap/flap pockets on rear with some great vintage lace detailing. Definitely give Old Navy a try - especially if you can find one of their flagship stores - seams as if they carry more sizing.

Additionally - I noticed that H & M used to carry larger sizes and had fashionable denim. Not sure if they still do but check it out & see. Smile

basic boot cut from old navy

I tried to see if any of the premium denim was online but couldn't find much. The link above is for one of their basic boot cut styles. Give them a try, you can't beat the price.

Last year I really started wearing jeans a lot. For years I stopped wearing them because it was so stressful looking for jeans that fit. I wear a size 16 and have had great luck with the following jeans:

1. Levis 515, they have a little stretch to them and they're affordable and have sized in long, regular and short
2. Calvin Klein, also a little stretch
3. Abby Z, hard to find but also have stretch
I was not blessed with a nice round booty. These jeans work well for flat butts like mine!
Good Luck and just be preoared to try on a ton of jeans. Don't give up and just remember all jeans "grow" a little when you wear them, so don't get ones that are loose.

Gap and Old Navy are good. I have a few pairs of 14's and I am only a 8 (Go Figure) I don't like pants to hug my stomach.

GAP and Old Navy are somewhat inconsistent in their sizing. Their size charts say I should take a 10 in both skirts and trousers. Well, what actually fits properly is about a 6-8 in skirts, and a 12 in trousers. Another reason to refuse to define yourself by the number on the tag in the back of your clothing. 'I' am not a size 6, 8, 10 or 12. That particular garment is marked in that size. That's all.

If you go to the BBC's website for WNTW, you'll see that one of Susannah's favourite jeans is the Gap Long & Lean. Again, testimony that more money doesn't always mean it's going to be the best product for you.

Pears? I'm an hourglass and they fit me fabulously... and plus sizes always fit a little different than "regular" sizes. Also, the rise is generally a little higher because low rise jeans on someone who has a few extra pounds = "muffin top" (most of the time)

I tried on the Seven7 jeans and thought they would fit fabulously if they only came in a size 12! Unfortunately they only start at size 14 at Lane Bryant.

And to whoever posted that the Lane Bryant jeans are too high waisted hasn't seen the Seven7 jeans, because they are not.

Try Ann Taylor or Ann Taylor Loft. I'm a 14 and found my favorite jeans there. FWIW, the jeans at Lane Bryant, Gap, and Old Navy just don't fit me right Frown

Grace...I have finally found a great jean I can wear with my body...they are sold at JcPenneys....a brand called Mix-It...they are the first plus-sized jean I have found that fit me great!! Although, I have never looked at Old Navy,,<hmmmm...thinking I need to go shopping!> They also sell a brand called ANA that my friend loves. I also can't wear the Lane Bryant jeans..they look so cute, but everytime I try them on..they are too short and make my legs look so wide! Oh well....Good luck!!

I saw this catalog and just looked it up online. I am probably too old for the styles, but was impressed with the size & selection. I haven't purchased anything from them, but for a younger woman it could be fun.

wow, my waist is much smaller than my hips, and I need a really long rise. Maybe I'll find a lane bryant store and try on a pair.
