I am weary of the excuses for her! You either get over it or get under it. Go back and reread this thread and you will see those who have actually worked "in the business" pretty much said word for word what she was ultimatly told by the agency and Petra.
There are hundreds, thousands, of girls in NY wanting the opportunity that Angelika was handed. It wasn't just about 100K, because if you live in NY, you know that doesn't go far. But it was about the opportunity, the exposure. Her whatevs attitude that so permeates her age bracket was so irritating. She had a hard life? so what, lots of people do. Maybe they should have took her on a day tour of Harlem or the Bronx so that she could see that she didn't have the market cornered on tough breaks. Learn from it, move on and take the opportunities given to you. Cause trust me, that exposure was a gift. Too bad she blew hers .

yeah they offered 100,000 dollars made from jobs in 3 years. thats 33k a year, pretty much an average job, definitely less than average for a full time model. so uhhh, yeah, its not like your right at all. and also, its usually like clients like, mac, victoria secret or mabelline that offer big contracts for models. the agencies dont just say, we'll give you a million dollars if you sign with us. I mean, really is 33k a year that good? not really. if you look at angelikas recent work like graham and spencer mike and chris , vogue, etc, youd realize shes mmaking more than they would have made her anyways. so, overall i guess people have to embrace 'to each his own'. if you think next shouldnt have gone with a contract with angelika, than you agree with her, who didnt want it. shes obviously doing better in the element she is best, not next's swimsuit style goals for all their wahines.
I've looked pretty hard on the internet for this but I can't seem to find anything. Does anyone know if Angelika used to model for Urban Outfitters about a couple summers ago? If anyone can find this out, I just want you to know that it will make my day.
Hello all...this is Angelika's Mother. None of my children were raised to be ill mannered. My daughter had the best time ever growing up in Malibu with her loving family. She is very rich and a 3rd generation Model from Vienna, Austria. My mother says..."It doesn't matter if what they say is good or bad. As long as they talk about you, that means you're interesting." There's no place like home!
Can you explain why she told everyone that she had a hard life when she was growing up? (Or something like that that implied as much) I fell for it and if you really are her mother, I'd like an answer.
Thanx for asking! I've addressed this issue earlier today to Angelika as such: "You don't have to learn the hard way, by mistakes....there is another way, go within". For real.
That "answer" has nothing to do with the question.
Angie acted like she had this horrible, rough childhood and that she decided to "use her beauty" so she could help her family financially. Sounds like a malibu childhood to me!
Here is an excerpt from the Mentor's frontpage about the show. + + + + A survivor of the 2004 Asian Tsunami, Nemcova founded the Happy Hearts Fund in 2005 to aid children in need who have suffered loss or hardship as a result of natural, economic, or health-related disasters. Happy Hearts has raised over $2 million to help children in Asia live healthy, happier lives filled with hope instead of fear. Happy Hearts Fund is working with Hewlett-Packard to establish computer labs in schools around the world, including Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and the Czech Republic.
It's a show....not real. My personal concern is about the not quite correct statements made in the forum claiming "to know us"- members who have never visited our happy home.
