Not rude just doing her job as she would any model. They have to be treated just as if they are already working and the girls was the ones who was rude to her.
Ashley treated them as if she would treat any model. The girls are young and inexperienced. Meeting Ashley was an important lesson for them because there are many people in various businesses that are very blunt and straight forward, there are worse people out there then her. The girls just young and have very nice and sweet personality, so they were probably a little shocked and thrown off by Ashely's approach of way of speaking to them.
Personally I do felt she was a little mean to the girls, since they are new to the biz and they really don't know. I would've showed them how to dress the swimsuits properly and give them a choice to pick what they like since they know their bodies and know what works for them.
I WOULD NEVER BUY MS. PAIGE'S SWIMSUIT EVER BECAUSE I THINK SHE IS A RUDE, KNOW-IT-ALL. I WOULDN'T MODEL FOR HER EITHER. AND I CAN AFFORD HER SWIMWEAR!!!!!!!!!!1
You need to realise fashion is not about the model. They are the lowest on the food chain a tool. They are not Diva Princesses as some would like to believe and for the most part designers, photographers, editors have more important things on their mind than "feelings" Unfourtnatly the Devil doe wear Prada and it is just part of the world they are living in.
She was terribly rude and unprofessional, in my opinion. In most industries, it is up to someone who is more experienced to help point out areas of improvement to younger, less experienced employees, but in a constructive manner. That's just good for business, as good teamwork amongst employees generally benefits the corporation.
Ashley was snide and condescending. She made a point of saying that her bikini was worth $2000. (Never mind the fact that I could find a more attractive one at Target). She has an ego that is not conducive to good teamwork. In any industry other than entertainment (including modeling & professional sports), her caustic, trenchant attitude would not be tolerated.
It really doesn't matter who you are - the poor guy on the street or the most highly regarded professional. Graciousness and respect for others no matter who they are are the signs of a truly great person/professional/whatever. Showing such a rude, ugly side just shows that -rudeness and uglyness. Either someone treated her really badly and she thinks it is "okay" now that she has made it to do the same to others or she is just really insecure (insecure people act that way as a cover and, yes, some very successful people are insecure especially in an industry where, as Heidi Klum puts it "one day you're in the next day you're out,") Some of the swimwear was nice but an equal amount was just regular old swimwear you can pick up anywhere. I mean, my 10 year old can make a suit like the one Angelika wore - two tiny triangles and two slightly larger ones on the bottom - big deal! Maybe it was in the fabric choice - wow wee! She just picked it - I doubt she created it and if she did - how had is dark blue????
Not only were the bathing suits not cute, eithier was Ashley or her attitude. She was not nice at all,and rubbed everyone like a cold piece of fish, including my husband and I.She did not even try to be caring and helpful to these young girls. She acted like her ____ didn't stink, no wonder Abigail was crying. As far as I'm concerned, how many men or women really care about a $2,000 bathing suit? No guy even looks at the suit on the cover of "Sports Illustrated" or any other magazine, the model(s) could be wearing one from Walmart. If "Ashley Paige's suits are so great than why wasn't she modeling them?Gag!Gag! She is the one that Angelika needs to verbally attack, that would be a classic!!!!!
