My family is planning to visit Oregon in October. We would love to visit the farm for pumpkin season. Could you tell me the best time? Would September or October be best (least rain)? Thank you.

Hi Mellie, I live not far from the Roloffs and truly the weather for both Sept and Oct can be iffy. I'd say September is usually drier in the first half, but then again, our weather has been quite unseasonably cool all Spring. We've been about 8-10 degrees below normal for months! It finally hit 80 here today and was gorgeous!
The trees will be prettier in October - we have lots of Fall colors to enjoy. On a clear day, some of them look like they're on fire. I'm originally from Southern California (hubby is a native of Oregon though.) I hate that Fall is the harbinger of wet winters to come, I love all of the turning leaves and the way they crunch underfoot!
Whenever you come, I guarantee you will find it quite beautiful. I have been here for 34 years now (more than half my life) and could not think of a better place to live!
