Well, I don't know about you guys, but I have a LOT of ideas...
1. A bubble gum bubble popping 2. Piano strings vibrating 3. a water tornado, in those little bottles 4. a person diving 5. lighting a candle, a campfire, or anything 6. a firecracker blowing up 7. a light bulb coming on 8. a water gun squirting 9. gymnastics tricks 10. a spark between 2 cords
*phew!* I hope you like these and keep posting your ideas. They could be shown on Time Warp! Lets see what the faithful viewers have to say... Tell me which idea of mine YOU think is the best and then post your idea if you have one... THANKS!!!
1. I had a physics teacher, Mr. Markovich, who would explode paper or cardboard by centrifugal force. He would put a disc about 8 to 10 inches on a router and spin it a high speed and pow,it sounded like someone fired a shot and the paper would disenegrate.
2. What actually happens to metal when you cut it with a cutoff wheel or grinding wheel.
i have got a really good one. when you take an ice cube and place it on something hot like a frying pan or wood stove, it sublimates by going from its solid phase, skipping the liquid phase and going directly to the gas phase. when this happens it turns into steam and vibrates VIOLENTLY. you can do this one in your kitchen(use a big pan and small ice cubes and the pan needs to be really hot), need to see to really appreciate.
a water tornado, in those little bottles
That reminds me of something my physics teacher has: a vortex cannon! Basically it's a large plastic bucket with a hole cut in the bottom, and a tarp over the top with a few stretchy things to hold the tarp inwards. When you pull the tarp out and let go, the stretchy thing pulls the tarp back in, and a large amount of air is quickly forced out of the hole. when the air flow is cut off, the result is a vortex that you can shoot across the room an puff someone without them knowing what hit them. If you put fog from a fog machine in there, you can actually see the doughnut go across the air if it was some solid object. It would be pretty cool to see the formation of the vortex wave directly from the bucket, because I have no idea how it works.
I think there are some graet ideas in your posting like the bubble gum one and the lightbulb. I have a sugestion too, they should do a thing on paintball were the host Jeff getts shot wiyh a paintball gun.
I have heard that Lightning Strikes from the ground up. I have tried the slowest of DVR Recordings but cannot prove this for myself. I would love to see 5000 frames per second of a lightning strike to prove that lightning does strike from the ground up.
I'd love to see bowling pins getting knocked over...... how about glass shattering or water splashing? .........um what else .....what else..... oh yeah this is kind of gross but a sneeze would be cool...... and also a cake exploding.... we did it one year for my brother's birthday it was awesome slow-mo would be even cooler!!!!
