I've seen a device that converts Water into Hydrogen and Oxygen and this guy is running his car using the very technology he devised to separate the molecules. Anyone else aware of this device/technology, and using it as an alternative fuel source and it being applied to running vehicles, heating homes, planes, etc not mention plans on using it to avoid our dependency on fossil fuels, the green house effect and the end of life on our planet? http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=655197204425970...Water+for+fuel&hl=en

Converting water into hydrogen and oxygen is a process called electrolysis. This was first discovered by Michael Faraday in 1832. The unit of measurement for capacitors, Farad, is named after him. I will not get into a long discussion of why this water scam is not an efficient use of energy. I feel the main problem is a lack of education in basic physics in the US. Since we are on the "Turbo Green" chat you may want to see some electrical energy turned into raw horsepower: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G32E4li3xHI

I must admit...it is an interesting concept.
I think the CNN segment still has a lot of questions to answer.
The segment says that they run a current through the water gas mixture?
But it doesn't electrolosize?
It creates a substance that has the energy of Hydrogen with the stability of water...?
You may want to contact the company direct.
I would love to hear what they say.

As for the Wildeman post, a bit condesending and then the video link provided had nothing to do with your topic.

I invented an electric car and have looked at tons of articles... the best I found would be the air car... http://www.theaircar.com

I've cracked wated to HHO gas using only a 10amp car battery charger
and it burns very nice and does seem to return to water afer combustion!!
Little dirty though does to the cheap stainless-steel spoons I'm using
to split the water. Had Best results with -charged spoon filled with
saltwater and a large +charged niddle placed into the spoon's saltwater
supply but not make contact spoon. Using jumper cables to conect. Cool

There is no way that this process I am test with simple tests. Test's most of the people that say its a scam ,,Test your self,,, or just take someone else's word that it is horrible..
The bottom line is that you can get HHO gas on demand from water using the power of a car-alternator for the electrolysis process,,, Reuse the clean H2O produced after combustion
of the HydroOxy (HHO Gas). No puollution at at!!
So stop with the "It can't be done" attitude~!~
It can be. Hydrogen is the future[.]

I am very serious about wanting to develop a hydrogen only engine. But like most people, I don't have any money. Still, I'm experimenting. I can't believe how easy it is to make Hydrogen. Yesterday I made it with salt, baking soda, a glass of tap water and a D battery. Now that's great for a demonstration to impress your friends, or give your kid an A in elementary school physics. But it's quite something else to actually put that into an engine and use it.

I just saw on the discovery science channel's eco-tech show, about a guy who made a nice HOD system using "gal-ee-on" and aluminum? But I can't find this mystery metal on the net because I can't spell "gall-ee-on"

The element is calle "Gallium" and is on the periodic table of elements as GA (not to be confused with "Georgia"
