Does anyone know how I can learn more about student run programs for alternative fuels?

I'm really interested in getting involved.

I've seen a device that converts Water into Hydrogen and Oxygen and this guy is running his car using the very technology he devised to separate the molecules. Anyone else aware of this device/technology, and using it as an alternative fuel source and it being applied to running vehicles, heating homes, planes, etc not mention plans on using it to avoid our dependency on fossil fuels, the green house effect and the end of life on our planet? http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6551972044259706451&q=Water+for+fuel
