I agree. This show was another perfect example of not going into business with your friend (ex-girlfriends/ex-boyfriends even worse!). Not to mention that Candy delayed the project almost 2 months by her delay in finding a contractor - there went $8k in profit down the drain. Not to mention her not taking Kirsten's advice and living in the property while the remodel was going on. What a ditz!
Actually she knew exactly what she was doing. Craig puts out all the money while she hunts down old boyfriends to hang out with. Meanwhile Craigs money is being flushed down the toilet. Wake up Craig.

I swear I hate watching this show. (but I have to watch it every week) Why can't I have that much money to toss around and flip a house that costs more than a half million dollars? Yet another example of someone who doesn't "deserve" to make that kind of profit. As usual - a flip in California seems to make a hefty profit no matter how much the people fumble thru the process.
I wonder if anyone else caught this little tidbit from this show, a further exposition of Candy's dishonesty:
She describes her occupation at the beginning of the episode as a "raw food chef".....now that's not as generic as it sounds. I know people who are into the "raw foods" movement and the deal is that you cook NOTHING because the heat allegedly harms or diminishes the nutritional value of the foods. If she does this for a living, one might think she'd be an adherent of the movement personally.....right?
So WHY IN THE WORLD was she giving her contractor/bf such grief about turning off the power because she COULD NOT USE THE STOVE???
Ooopsy.
Its not about "don't work with/be in business with" FRIENDS, folks. Its about doing business with LIARS, whether friends or strangers.

I was thinking the same thing! I was so happy when the guy finally left. Craig needs to wake up and realize that he is Candy's sugar daddy!
My first thought was that Craig was being used. But look at what happened: he wrote out all those checks, did virtually nothing otherwise, and made a tidy profit in the end.
I am a "Craig" fan. The guy knew exactly what he was doing. He made a good amount of money w/o having to do much at all. What's so wrong with that? And to boot, Candy is his "ex' and probably for a good reason. I don't think Candy used Craig. Rather I think it was the other way around...
hey victory6, do you think every italian, french chinese, etc. chef only eats what they specialize in? Maybe she wanted to boil water for a cup of tea. Do you know how difficult it is to eat only raw foods? I just saw a cardiologist who is overweight. Should I not trust his ability to be a good doctor? You think you discovered a big lie. I think not.
Re: the raw foods thing... I agree that just because she's a raw food chef she's not required to never cook again in her life. BUT when she's in the middle of a reno and the power needs to be shut off, a raw foods chef like her should be the LAST person to need gas/electric to fix herself a meal!!! I couldn't get over it. I've had to be onsite when utilities are shut off, and somehow I've survived with non-cooked foods or take-out. Just like I've had to listen to hammering when I've got a sore throat.
Let's face it, Candy wasn't serious about flipping. But she was serious about being a manipulative child. And unfortunately, it paid off for her.
