This is probably the worst show I have ever seen. I watch a lot of shows about flipping houses and these two idiots, mostly Sergio have made it look so stupid. You can't try to flip a house and pay nothing to make a profit. These guys should never be on a show again. They are definently not flippers. They are just wannabes that make real flippers look bad.
Property Ladder should change its rating from "G" to "R". The language that was continually bleeped throughout the show was totally unappropriate. I found it offensive and I wonder what caliber of people would even think of going on national television and use that profanity, particularly in what seems to be a safe topic.
Then there was Sergio. Pompous, arrogant, and deceitful describe him in a nutshell. Pride surely did not enter into his personality. Who would even think of leaving any job regardless of what it is, in the poor condition that the house projected AFTER it was finished? Money is a great motivator.
This was the first time I watched the show and all I can says is WOW. What a bunch of losers. Who was teaching who. Robert, I think was the only one between the two of them that had a brain cell. Sergio is an arrogant, rude, cheap as dirt, delusional, sleaze bag. I won't mention that he look liked Jabba the Hut dressed as 70's pimp at the "open house" or should we call it the open embarrassment.
Sergio has experience flipping houses? He is just petulant street punk with a big ego trying to pull a scam...er flip. I am glad that he made it on this show, so it expose him for what he is thief with any morality.
I feel bad for the person who actually bought that house. They could have bought that dump and paid professionals to remodel that house without a lifting a finger and spent less.
Robert does needs a new friend. Sergio should go back to doing what he does best...being a liar
I hope whoever purchased the house will check with a lawyer. I think that Sergio shows willful intent to defraud. With cutting the bolts to fit the hole for the porch and covering the crack and saying that he does not care because he will not live there. I do feel some what sorry for whoever bought the house and I can not believe that they paid what they did for it.
This is the third season I've watched PL and I've got to say: The Friendship Flip Fiasco was the best episode yet. If you want to see how to flip a house there are other, better, shows. BUT, if want to see a show on how NOT to flip a house, Property Ladder can't be beat. The other shows have capable flippers making sensible decisions - coming in under budget and sticking to a schedule. Yawn. This show is more Grand Guignol theater than Super Handyman tips on flipping. ¡Yay Property Ladder!
Each time I watch this show I think, "if these guys can flip a house and making money.. I could do it."
After watching these two morons walk away with more than $80k.. I can feel confident I can do it.
Who paid $370k for that house? (in an area where 3 BR houses were going for $350k) I was waiting for the narrator to say that the buyer walked away after the home inspection. Amazing. This episode left me with a bad taste in my mouse.
I thought it was hilarious that the main ripper offer got ripped off himself! Served him right. I used to live in a town with a lot of people like him and it just really brought all the neighborhoods down. We had to get out of there!
I totally agree with the language part of it. I mean even if you bleep out the word you can totally read his lips on what he was saying. Disgraceful all the way around.
I can't imagine the idiot that paid $370k for that piece of junk. As long as people are willing to pay such high prices right now no one is going to lower them!
This is my first time on this forum and after watching that show, I thought I have to get online and see if there is a place to complain abou tthe LANGUAGE. It should be family friendly but I don't want my kids watching it with the likes of Sergio and his FOUL MOUTH. Otherwise, very intertaining show! and maybe they agree not to do an inspection just to be on the show and make it interesting!!!

personally, i don't want to hear the bleeps either...As adults, i except them to have the knowledge of how to pick other words.....
i do like watching this show and this last episode had me rolling on the floor with laughter.....This episode should have been called "Flippin' in the 'Hood" or "How to use a Dope Boy as your General Contractor" And please accept my apology if i offended anyone...
On the serious note, Most of the people shown on PL are hardworking people not out to rip someone off, and that was clearly not the goal of Sergio - he was out to take advantage of everyone...
I live in a neighborhood where there has been some of that same deceptive flipping going on - and selling to people that can't afford these homes that are still not in the best of repair. Property values are low because of the high number of foreclosures - and a lot of the foreclosures are the homes that have been "fixed"
In addition to the things already said here about what a disgusting jerk Sergio was, I was ASTOUNDED that his eventual contractor (not the guy who went to jail, but the other guy later who he accused of "ripping me off" when he made a simple accurate assessment of the work and time involved) did't just tell him to shove it and walk away. Ditto the flooring store, which had I owned it or managed it would have refused to take this moron's money. I think young Sergio's "brilliant negotiating" tactic is simple: He finds people who are, for whatever reason. so DESPERATE do do ANY business at all that he is able to bully them into accepting his lowball offers. Shame on them for doing so, and shame on him for his arrogant attitude.
But then, jerks like him HAVE no shame, and now he can say "look how much money I made!" to offer bona fides for his brilliant flipping ability!
what an idiot! I think Property Ladder is really about how NOT to flip a house, and thats the point- and this one was the perfect example of that. Usually this show shows really stupid people trying to flip a house and thats why I love it. I thought sergio was disgusting but like a dumb evil clown- im sure whoever bought the house just decided to redo everything he did -it was hideous. the blue counters made me want to throw up in my mouth a little. but i did laugh alot too.
It is days later since I've seen the "friendship fiasco" episode and the disgusting way Sergio and Robert conducted themselves is still irritating me! Sergio is a poor excuse for a human being. I can see from the comments that I am not the only one who was repulsed by this man's deceptive and classless ways. I really feel bad for the person who purchased that shanty. I hope Sergio's misdeeds come back to haunt him.

"Dude.. you're rippin me off!"
I thought the same thing with the house price..If I remember right, the realtors apraised the home for 320-330 or so? They probably know their area. Buyers offers 370K, highly doubtful they were approved for a loan for that price. The show should include if purchse did not go through because of these over inflated prices. And yes..those guys were such a joke...superior craftmanship??? Good grief.
catching up on some TV watching, I saw this episode last night. I would really like to see an update on that house, who bought it and what did the new owners did to it (especially those blue counter tops)!! Just a suggestion.
*sigh* As I sit here watching a rebroadcast of this mess, I am once again amazed, as was everyone else, that someone paid for that poorly constructed house. I hope poor Robert has moved on to new friends and not let that moron Sergio influence him into becoming a worthless, self-absorbed, pompous, idiot like him. I think staging sold that eyesore. Some people are easily distracted by pretty furniture and accessories. Whoever bought it obviously didnt look at the structure or craftsmanship.
I just saw this episode for the first time. I can't believe what low morals these guys have. I can't believe that they would cut those kinds of corners ON TV. What complete morons. I can't believe someone out there was as dumb as they are and paid 370 grand for a pile of "S" like that house. They will get theirs. And to think that the show close with the guys saying that they would flip again. OMG. If I saw those guys near a house I would RUN. Lets hope enough people watched this show to see what these guys are made of. How does it feel guys, America knows what losers you are. You made a tidy profit but at what cost? PATHETIC.
