$27,000 over budget. Wow. I felt uneasy watching this episode. You could cut the tension between the newlywed couple with a knife.

I did like what they did with the house, although they should have made another bedroom out of the huge room.

Good to see they actually got more than they were asking for it.

It's the standard Property Ladder formula: if an episode takes place in California, then you know they will turn a reasonable profit.

$5000 for landscaping? Something tells me I could have charged the woman $2000 to install a lightbulb and she would have paid it.

I was pretty startled that the couple made money. But I was looking at the show with October 2007 eyes. I don't know when this flip actually took place.

I kind of wish they would timestamp the show (month, year of flip). It would put things in better perspective.

Sideliner, I agree re: needing to put the show in perspective by giving us dates for the purchase and flip. The difference between 2005 and 2007 is enormous. I can't wait to see some shows that will tell today's situation.
