The episode will soon be her for Mozart to leave us and all of our hearts will break once again.
I feel it'll be harder on those unaware of what lies ahead for our little underdog who fought for love, happiness, and acceptance all the way to the end. If only she knew that she already had all of that and more from all of us here.
Queen Flower will welcome home her darling Princess and she'll also be reunited with Prince Shakespeare, so while we cry tears of saddness she will be crying tears of joy.
I'd like to recommend a book to all: All God's Creatures Go to Heaven, story by Amy Nolfo-Wheeler, illustrated by N.A. Noel. No meerkats in it, but if you read it, you'll know why I recommend it. I'm sure animals that aren't pets have their angels too. Perhaps, just to stand and watch from a distance.
Oh, meerkata, what a great title for this thread! Mozart really seems to have touched the heart of so many viewers, I know she touched mine. She was the first kat to do so. I think it was her sweet, caring, loving nature and the fact that she faced so many obstacles and never seemed to give up. I'm having a hard time imagining what MM is going to be like without her.
I thought it would be the only fitting title considering that Flower was the Queen.
Mozart was my 2nd favorite, Shakespeare was my number 1, but Mozart truly touched me in the way that she was always the caring one. Whether it was with the pups, Shakespeare or Carlos she was always the one there giving her support even when it meant that she would go hungry.
I feel in alot of ways she was stronger than Flower because she was forced to go it alone and still survived as long as she did, where Flower always had the help of the entire family.
I think more tears will fall for the Princess at least from those of us who have watched her struggles from the beginning.
I was always rooting for her hoping that she'd get a break and be able to have more pups to carry her legacy into the future. But sadly she only has Sophie and Spud.
Tears are streaming down my face right now as I think of how lonely she looked at the end of this weeks episode and knowing what is in store for next week.
I agree that this episode will be a lot tougher than Flower's. Mozart was all alone. Bless her little heart. I must watch it and will have a bunch of tissue handy. I wish things could have turned our differently for this one, but fate stepped in once again. Yes, Mozart, you are the Princess of the Kalahari. It will never be the same without you.
I too will miss sweet Mozart, always feeling her way through life made her that much more endearing. I know she is with her mom and brothers and sisters and all her pups now, snuggled in a warm burrow never to be alone again...along with all the millipedes and scorpions she can eat.
Mozart had my heart too, along with Shakespeare first. I won't be watching her demise because I promised myself I wouldn't- I can see it my mind anyway, just as I did dear Blossom's demise.
It is true, that she, along with Shakespeare and Tosca were true Prince and Princesses of the Blood; a fitting legacy and sad but noble epitaph of Flower and Zaphod and Youssarian. They will be missed, but never forgetten, never unloved... memory Eternal!
I remember a long, long time ago writing here saying that I wish that Mozart and Carlos could be in a safe place where they could live in peace and have all the babies that they wanted to... too bad I didn't clarify that it should have been amongst the living...
Now I know what that old saying: "Be careful for what you wish for... it MIGHT come true... "ironically means.....
Requiat en Pace, my prima ballerina, my beautiful and kind Princess of the Blood- now she is with her beloved, her children, her family and our unconquered Queen of Hearts, Flower.
The title of this thread is a beautiful one. This coming episode will hit me the hardest because Mozart has been my favorite since day one. I already have my box of tissues ready. I thoght of a song that I can not post in the theme song thread because it's a spoiler so I will post it here for now:
Mozart to Flower Mama I'm Coming Home by Ozzy
Flower to Mozart With Arms Wide Open by Creed
On a happier note for me I am going to see the meerkats at the Staten Island Zoo tomorrow.
Thank you all for agreeing with me regarding the bravest kat in the Kalahari, our little Princess Mozart.
I too was thinking of skipping this episode whren it dawned on me that poor little Mozart was alone throughout most of her life until starting up the Starsky's. Then upon the death and lose of her group she ended up alone again. As hard as it's going to be I will not let her go to her death alone, if we can't or should I say we couldn't be there to hold her as she took her lasts breaths at least we can be there for her if only through the television screen to try and offer her some type of comfort as she did for Shakespeare, Carlos and Kinkajou in their final moments.
I will be sitting there holding my Meerkat stuffed animal and I'll be crying like a baby just like I am right now just thinking about it.
Most of the episode wont be bad in fact little Mozart finds love with Wilson and they spend the night together. Only the ending will be the heartbreaking part.
So I ask that you at least watch up until that time and lend your spirit to our Princess of the Kalahari, let her know that she's not alone.
Now, now...not to bring this up again, but we don't know for sure that Shakespeare is dead. Read Athena's posts in the "Back From the KMP" thread about all of the wild mobs that live in the area that aren't followed, and how huge the territory actually is. Some people claim that the producer said in one of the live chats that he died from another snakebite last winter, but I've thoroughly read the transcripts and can't find anything about that.
I guess I'm just an optimist, but with so many beloved kats lost, I need some hope to hold onto here.
Also, it might comfort everyone to know that Mozart leaves behind more than just Sophie and Spud (Spud unfortunately is listed as "missing" as of June ). "The Book" confirms that she had a litter of 4 pups in 2006, 2 boys and 2 girls. They all survived, and their names are Miss Lilly the Pink, Ju Drop, Wollow, and Karim. So sad that those babies never got to know their momma, as Mozy was evicted a few months after they were born. However, she still lives on in them.
You're right kittygliiter we don't know for sure about courageous little Shakespeare my all time favorite.
So I'll change that to Mozart comforted Shakespeare when he suffered from the Puff Adder bite and without her encouragement I don't think he would have survived even though at one point she did run off with Tosca in search of food and forgot all about him. But I wont hold that against her she did go back to find him so alls well.
The only think keeping me going for Season 4 is to learn the fate of Zaphod and his search for a new mate (I'm rooting for Lola), and to hopefully see more of Sophie and Spud, Mozarts legacy.
I wrote another post but it got triggered. Basically, I said that Mozart also leaves behind 4 more pups, born in 2006 (confirmed by "The Book"). Unfortunately, one of those pups' names is a trigger word (which name, and why it is a trigger is beyond me. Not the first time I've been triggered referring to this litter). Grrrr.
Trigger words are words contained in one's post that prevents the post from being posted without moderator approval. The usual 4-letter words, ethnic slurs, stuff like that. Also, apparently, there are many other words on the "trigger" list; I do not know what they are or why they are "trigger" words, but it is quite frustrating. Sometimes it can also be a word within a word. Actually, for a few days the week before "Journey's End" aired, "Flower" magically became a trigger word. So...yeah. I have no idea.
Thank God their are more offspring. But I don't remember any of them being mentioned in this Season. I could be wrong please let me know if any of them are referred during any part of Season 3 so I can go back and watch that episode. Gotta love DVR. I too have had numerous post come up with trigger words although they ended up getting posted with no editing by mod_kelly. So I'm not sure what the trigger words are either.
