I noticed that just about everybody here loves Shakey, but he's not mentioned much here. Sooo, knock yourselves out!

I can only speak for myself and I know that any time that I've written about my favorites or those that we have lost I always include Shakespeare. I even started up the thread on his birthday. He's my number 1 favorite always has been always will be. Mozart is my number 2 although number 1 when it comes to the females.

I still get misty eyed anytime I watch Season 1 and relive the snake bite. I still feel that he's alive and just out of range of the study. He has himself a pretty little DF and a multitude of pups to carry on his legacy.

I also feel the same thing about Tosca, so out there somewhere she has even more offspring than DeLa Soul, Arrested Development, Flava Flav, Bad Boy Bubby, McMurphy, and Jogu.

I even have a stuffed meerkat and a Schliech figurine named after Shakespeare.

i don't believe Shakespeare is dead. They say that it is easier for a male meerkat to live in the Kali by himself as it is for a female. I believe after the battle where he wondered off from the injuries, he roved for a while, then eventually found a dominant female to settle with. I also heard that they found a meerkat that looked very similar to shakespeare several times, but it might also have been Youssarian.

shakespear is my all time favorite and he is one of the reasons and the main reason that i have watched meerkat manor for so long i dont feel he is dead and until there is proof of such i have hope that he will be reintroduced to the manor again but it is a nice idea to honor our prince

I'm with dagwoodtaz, I don't believe he is dead. If they have not found his body, then he is probably somewhere far away from the research area with his own group being the dominant male of the group.

Oh, I'm totally with Philmeerkat. Shakespeare is so not daed. He is a warrier, a fighter! And besides it is much easier for a male meerkat to survive in the Kalahari than a female meerkat. But I love Shakey!! He is my favorite!!! Well, him, Tosca, Mozart, and Flower(May she Rest In Peace). But for all we know, he could, and probably is, out in the way, way other side of the Kalahari starting a family as the dominate male. But I know that our Shakey, a warrier, is NOT DEAD!!!

The fact that they never found his body makes me question Shakespeare's death. I mean.. I doubt the Lazuli ate his entire body. That's just not probable.
