Today has been a hard day.
I have not logged in much and have felt very sad over the loss of so many dear Meerkats(especially my most favorite Mozart).
I celebrate the lifes of such very special animals, and grieve for all those who are gone.
Getting to know such noble creatures through 'Meerkat Manor' has added a richness to my life and I am Thankful that they have been presented to us all.
I am also glad to have found this site and so many wonderful people who understand and care, not only about the Meerkats, but about eachother.
What a blessing it is to have this place to come too and share how we feel.
Thank You my Meerkat friends!

The loss of sweet Mozart just seemed to cap the ending of a sad season. Mozart is a symbol of all the lone female meerkats wandering the Kalahari..and a reminder of all those who are lost..or have died. little Tosca De-La-Soul Shakespeare Carlos Kinkajou Blossom Len and Squiggy and of course..Flower..the Queen Mother.
For those who have disappeared, hopefully some have found a better fate then sweet Mozart.
No Meerkat Manor this Friday, but Meerkat Manor will go on..and we will miss those precious ones we've come to know and love. They will be remembered and sadly missed.

Kittykat: very well said. I have also found this site very helpful in dealing with the losses this season. I'm glad that there is this place where we can all come together and talk about our meerkats, and not only that but each other.
iggy777, YOu are right, we will always remember the ones that we've lost and we will miss them sadly, and we will continue to watch MM, to support the ones that are still with us.
