The Queen of the Whiskers and daughter/princess of the Kalahari... Both died in misery they are now in a better place and they will never be forgotten. They both were surivors and they both tried hard and they were brave so please help me remember them and never forget about them...


R.I.P. Queen Flower and Princess Mozart!!!

Flower was a tough, courageous leader who took the Whiskers to great heights. Mozart, caring, vulnerable and resilient, fought against the odds and how she managed to survive in her short life is beyond me. They are indeed in a better place, together, and I for one will never forget them. I love them both so dearly and miss them terribly. Rest in peace, dear ones.

I loved Flower but Mozart had stolen my heart, she was my girl. I bought Seasons 1 through 4, but when it comes to their deaths, I will not watch those episodes because it upsets me too much, even now. I printed off pictures of Flower and Mozart, and put them on the back of my bedroom door. Does that sound stupid? I have Zaphoed's picture on the door too, along with Shakespeare, Carlos, Wilson, Seacrest, Rocket Dog, Mitch, and one of all the pups play fighting.

Godspeed Flower and Mozart, my little friends. I love you and miss you terribly. I will never, ever forget you.

I don't think it's stupid to have pictures of meerkats around the house. Earlier this year I made a collage of Whiskers on my computer and it was my desktop background until recently, when I changed it to a picture of Sophie. Flower was the only kat I featured twice, looking down on the others in one corner and at the center of her wonderful family in the middle of the page, between her mates Zaphod and Yossarian, and near her successors Rocket Dog, Maybelline and Sophie.

I will eventually alternate the photos, because I have some other lovely pics of Flower, Mozart, Shakespeare and Rocket Dog (some of my great favorites). I also have some other photos around my room.

vwf053...Thanks for saying that. Few of my friends have really poked fun at me. My kids smile at me. They know how I feel about the meerkats and don't tease me. I think the collage you made sounds really neat. I'm not that artistic. Heck, when I draw stick people they run off the paper screaming. LOL

I love how everyone remembers our beloved meerkats. I do not think that there could be a wrong way or a silly way to do anything to remember them. I have made albums of them and have pictures on my wall and books and dvds and it is all good. We had a Flower meerkat party last year for her movie and I made meerkat cupcakes with each meerkats name on them. I made brownies with the group names on them too and so it is all good. I love my meerkats and I will continue to talk about them and remember them and cry about them......daily.....Journey's End is coming on Tuesday and Len and Squiggy on Monday. Not watching.....But I love them so much!!! I miss them so much....Who cares if people do not understand. They need to watch then maybe they will get it! If not, their loss.....

I feel better knowing I'm not the only one with pictures. I bought a really big picture of a meerkat and had it mounted at allposters.com. Can't wait until I'm finished painting the inside of the house so I can hang it up!

It isn't stupid at all to show you care about meerkats. My family thinks I'm crazy. I even have stoneware statues of meerkats (3), framed pictures and posters, magnets, cups etc...
My favorite also is Mozart. It breaks my heart that she is gone. I still need a box of Kleenex when I watch my DVDs' of past shows or see reruns of them.
Shakespeare is my second favorite. He was sweet like Mozart.

Oh zeekers you should see my bedroom....if only I knew how to do links to photos...I have nine meerkat plushes...all named after our manor meers...one large guy I named Chico, all on my dresser.

I have a beautiful poster of a Meerkat Mom with 2 pups from the San Diego Zoo...framed and hung.

I also have a stained glass of Chico staring into the Kalahari desert at a couple of "wild" meers...looking for a friend or wistfully staring at what might have been his life if not for destiny.

That's just my bedroom...!!!

Now we go to....never mind...you get the picture....!!

HI ALL, IT IS VER SAD WHEN A MEERKAT DIES, WATCHING THESSE LITTLE CREATURES HAS MADE ME A BETTER PERSON. I THINK WE CAN A LEARN SOMETHING FROM THEM, THEY ARE THE MOST BRAVEST, CARING, LOVABLE LITTLE SOULS I HAVE EVER SEEN. I STILL CRY WHEN I WATCH THE EPISODES WHEN ONE OF THEM DIE. AT LEAST THEY ARE IN A BETTER PLACE NOW, I LOVE THEM SO MUCH THAT I AM TRYING TO VOLUNTEER TO GO TO THE KALAHARI DESERT TO HELP IN ANY WAY THAT I CAN JUST TO BE NEAR THEM. I am crying as i write this,I have read all the beautiful tributes to our beloved Flower.She truly was the queen of the Kalahari and of our hearts.I am so glad that there is a place we can all go to express how we feel about this beautful soul,she represented what bravery,leadership,and most of all her love as a mother she sacrificed her own life for the lives of her pups.That is truly what a mother does R.I.P.our beautiful Flower,we will all love and miss you always.

This is very nice to have a plae to grieve and share with others. Reading all the comments- it's like reading mhy own thoughts. Zeekers- I still can't watch certain footage - I amy not ever be able to - It's just too sad. To this day, I miss Mozart- I loved that little girl with the big heart. Flower- I'm beginning to think I will always mourn her. Shes a big part of history- and my life.
I have a similar collage on my computer. But when I finish my "Kalahari Wall" at home, I'll post the description- I'd like to share my idea.
Just nice to have others to talk to about this.

hey every1 thanks for commenting on my topic im new here and i really i love the website and the shows but does anyone know if there will be a next season thats my biggg question???

I haven't heard any announcements yet. They haven't started filming for a season 5 yet, but there is still time to say they will and start filming later this year. AP has been doing the reruns and even released some meerkat dog toys recently, so hopefully they aren't planning on putting the show out to pasture. All we can do is hope and wait and tell them we want more meerkats. If they start filming soon, we may get a S5 as early as summer 2010, which in my opinion is too long to wait anyway!

I'd like to say that people here aren't crazy. They just have big hearts that dwarf most meerkats. I played a game on British Site with Zaphod. Flower was giving it too him severely.

Mozart wasn't the only to feel her wrath.

I can't wait to order the complete pack of Meerkat Manor all seasons and Flower Book.

I miss Flower and Mozart too. Flower was a wonderful leader, and I loved how she adopted Axel just before she died. I thought it was wonderful of Flower to sacrifice her life for her pups, although I wish she would have let another meerkat do it. I loved how Mozart stood by Shakespeare's side after he had been bitten by the snake, and Carlos when he died of TB or infection or whatever it was. Mozart was just like Sophie (Ella) when she was babysitting, and she was always willing to take care of Flower's pups. I miss them both.

I miss them both. Flower was my favorite until Mozart, she just tugged on my heartstrings & wouldn't let go! Flower was a great leader too, & she was awesome! I miss every one of the meerkats that are now in that big desert in the sky!

Flower and Mozart were the best. Even with their death, many people, including me will miss them and the other fallen.

Before mozart died i was thinking she was going to join the commandos intill the fight happened and she ran off. If she only hung on that one night wilson wood of found her and she might still be alive rite now, i wood rather hav her join the commandos than her dieing.
