To all the posters who wrote such beautiful words, poems and songs for our Mozart please repost in this area.

We have pleaded and begged with Mod_kelly for a Memorial Board for Mozart and she gave us what we have asked for for so long.

So now it's our turn to show her just how much we love Mozart by reposting a few words for Mozart especially since it's her birthday.

I had hoped that Mod_kelly would've been able to move all the postings here but I think that it was too big of a job because there have been so many postings done for her. Unfortunately they are posted throughout all the different boards so it may have just been to hard for her to get them all moved here.

Let's not let Mozart down let us show her how much she meant to us.
Remember our little kat had a heart as big as the Kalahari and since she burrowed her way into our hearts we can't let her down.

RIP darling Princess may your birthday be one where you are surrounded by your family there in heaven just as you are remembered by all of us here.

It has been so difficult mourning your lost-it's nice to have a day to celebrate your life. That's what birthdays are all about. You are special, My Kalahari Lady and I will always hold you close to me.

Meerkata, we had so much love for Mozart that one memorial board wouldn't hold it all. Like all the love we have for her has to be spread out. Look around, you won't be disappointed. We all love her, and miss her.

Your heart will be touched by all the love.

Mozart was so caring (yes, she did evict Daisy, but stayed with Carlos,Kinkajou and Shakespeare) and nurturing (how many pups did she watch and feed when they cried for a drink) that it is so sad, still, to think that she died alone. She did share a night with Wilson and hopes were raised that she would finally enjoy her life here on earth, but bigger plans were made for her life by a higher power and it was meant to be that she go "home" and be with those she loved and who loved her. May she have a wonderful birthday with her family and rest in peace. Those of us who never, physically, met her, know that she is in a better place where she will never be lonely or hungry again. Rest in peace, little Princess.

I have been reading everything that has been posted about Mozart. But if you have dial up like I do you know how slow it runs and how long it takes for each thread to come up.

That is why we have been asking for 1 common area to post in this way anyone signing on would know exactly where to go to post their feelings, poems, songs, etc.

I just put this up here because we have been begging Mod_Kelly for so long I want her to know that her work hasn't been in vain.

I'm devastated beyond words. She was my favorite.

ziggy777...oh man here come the tears again. that is such a beautiful tribute to our sweet Mozart!!! She is so missed!

Poor sweet Mozart, you had such a hard life. Rest well knowing that you are in a place where the food is plentiful and there are no predators to hurt you ever again. Who knows you might even be reunited with Carlos. Rest well sweet Mozart, I will miss you.

Mozart,

I cannot write you a beautiful poem or song as other have done because I do not possess their talents. I can, however, tell you from my heart and soul how precious you are to me. I have loved you from the beginning and will always love and miss you. You had such a rough life but you triumphed and taught me not to give up regardless of how daunting the task might be. You taught me to be a kinder person and always be there for ones in need. You spent you life looking for love and a place to belong and in that we are kindred spirits. Thank you sweet Mozart for being my inspiration.
I will never forget you and when the world seems too much to handle I will stop and remember everything you have taught me. You will remain my guardian angel until the day we finally meet on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.

She's in the arms of the angels

Mozart was the shelter from the storm

God made for her a special place in heaven

I am reposting for Mozart as well. A special little meerkat who has touched our lives and our hearts. One who had such admirable characteristics, one who will never be forgotten. One who will always be loved.

We miss you, little one. We hope you are having fun on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge, running and jumping, with plenty of food and no more worries.

Thank you everyone for reposting your wonderful thoughts about Mozart. I really enjoyed reading them again, and, though it may bring back the tears, it helps with the healing.

And meerkata, your words about Mozart's life were beautiful. You're right, God has a special place for her in heaven, and her spirit lives on!

We love and miss you, Mozart....

My little Motzart,it hurts so much to see you laying there in the sand. You were always so caring and loving. You always took care of everyones elses pups,but so few of your own. It is so sad because you would have been a great DF. You lived such a hard life and never gave up,not even at the end.
You were the last of the Starksy.On your own,starving,but still had the will to live. You almost made it too. Wilson found you and fell in love. He stayed with you that first night in your own burrow. You were following him back to his when the battle happened. It was his natural instint to help his mob. So being on neither side and so weak,you headed back to your burrow. That night both you and Wilson sat up late outside the burrows. We could tell that you were thinking of each other. The next morning Wilson was up at first light and heading straight to you. And there you were laying in the sand.Were you heading for him also? I believe in my heart that Wilson would have stayed with you and you would have lots of beautiful pups. What a wonderful mob you would have built together! If only you had the chance...
At least we know that you are not hungry or hurting anymore. You are with your family in the Kalahari Heaven. You will be so missed by all who ever met you.
Sleep in peace my love. We will all be together again sometime in the future.

Thank you all for such beautiful heartfelt words, the tears still come way too easily, will that ever stop? Possibly with time and healing but for now the emotions are right on the surface and way too raw.

In the days, weeks, and months to come we will look back on this season and wonder why did our favorites have to suffer so much, but the one thing that we must remember is these precious meerkats would've suffered and died whether we were there or not.
But think how much richer are lives are for having known them. To learn caring and unconditional love from Mozart, leadership and nobility from Flower, perservarance and strength from Carlos, friendship from Kinkajou, putting family above all from Wilson and deformity doesn't make you different and true brotherhood from Len & Squiggy.

I feel honored to have known them if only for a short time. I will make sure they are not forgotten by telling their story for many years to come.
