So I never really adopted any animal from a pound or shelter. All my animals have been strays who came to me. Or I found. My first cat is Aidan. He's a fluffy little grey and white fighter. He's the sweetest animal I think has ever been born. When I got him he was in our garage mewling in a sort of broken sounding meow. My sister was the one who found him, he was underweight, covered in fleas and ticks and missing patches of fur. We took him in and cleaned him up, fed him a bit. And now he's my dad's "Buddy" he calls it his grandchild since he's my "Aidan Baby" which I call him because he's like a child to me. I'm very protective of the cat. My next animal I found at a pet center, she was for free and was very very small and adorable. I put my finger in the cage and she licked it, there was NO way I was leaving her there. I named her Naoki which means tree child, she's very wild. Unfortunately that wild nature is what made her run off from me. My newest animal is a Corgi/Jack Russell mix. He was found by my father after he was dropped off my someone and then hit my an oncoming car. His named is Yoda and though he's a very hyperactive dog, he's very loving for all he's been through. I think it's amazing how animals can find someone after they've been mistreated. I'm always glad that I can restore their hope and faith in humans. And them love me and see me as an equal. I know if I was tiny and something big had hurt me I wouldn't trust another big creature. But amazingly it's possible to change a mind.
