I have took in so many animals that I have lost count. There's been cats and dogs. Not very many cats; the dogs doesn't get along to well with the cats. I'll go to the trush dump...to set out some trush and when I get there, there are cats and dogs that had been set out. Animals people didn't want so they set them out to defend for them self. That is so wrong, animals that have been around people and that are use to people are set out just because people dont want them. If people cant take care of the animals, if people doesn't want their animal to have pups or kittens...than they need to put the money into the animal to have it fixed. If they dont have the money to have their animal fixed, then maybe they dont need a pet. An animal needs care, money, and time. I have 5 dogs, 2 of the dogs were saved from the trush dump, 1 of the dogs were for sell because the people no long wanted her, the other 2 were pups from the dog we brought.
I found this poem on the internet and I wanted to share it with you.
A dog sits waiting in the cold autumn sun -- too faithful to leave, too frightened to run. He's been there for days now with nothing to do but sit by the road, waiting for you.
He can't understand why you left him that day; he thought you and he were stopping to play. He's sure you'll come back, and that's why he stays -- how long will he suffer? How many more days?
His legs have grown weak, his throat's parched and dry; he's sick now from hunger and he falls, with a sigh. He lays down his head, and he closes his eyes -- I *wish* you could see how a waiting dog dies!
