I completely agree. Making female murderers funny is horribly inappropriate. You wouldn't make a commercial joking about a man bashing his wife's head in or smothering her with a pillow because "sometimes there's only one way to end a bad marriage." The fact that you have done that concerning women goes against the seriousness of the subjects of your shows. Please remove or re-edit the commercial so that it reflects the seriousness of the subject matter.
I could not agree more. I am SO pleased that I'm not the only one. I've written to the station twice, and have also contacted Citizens Against Homicide. I plan to contact other victim's groups, too. I've spent hours watching crime shows and the sorrow and pain of the victim's family (like, Bobby Curley's family, or Steven Hricko's family, and I could go on and on) and can't believe that anyone could find this ad at all acceptable.
I'm sure the families of the victims of Aileen Wuornos think your commercial is hysterical. Take it off, now. How dare you make light of such a serious subject.
