I think it is well done. Rachel is a delight and the idea of human animal comparisons is needed and refreshing. The filming and narration is interesting, and Rachel adds humor and spice to make it a good show for adults as well as kids. it is educational and entertaining both. Animal Planet has a new hit on its hands. Keep it going.
I held a party for seventy people of all ages when the show premiered and everyone loved it. Two kids said it was even better than "Friends", and that was high praise from two junior high guys!
Lame... Illiterate, disappointing. I hope science, and nature-loving girls growing up, watching it don't think they have to measure up to this.
I am still fascinated by how new the members posting positive messages about the show are. I'd be intrigued by reading supporting posts from old, faithful AP fans who can filter out a good nature show.
A party for 70 people when Ms Adventure premiered?? Kelly's "King of the Jungle" - blooper supporters were all friends, relatives and co-workers too!
I have two early-elementary-age kids who both love the show. I also have talked about this show with various colleagues and neighbors who have kids, and they all think it is entertaining and good family viewing. An elderly neighbor without kids even enjoys it.
To me, the show is still a bit too scripted -- at least, the first few episodes. The writing can feel stilted, and the humor corny (but my kids like that). The more extemporaneous the material, the better the show is, in my opinion.
The host is no Jeff Corwin, but then, she's not really supposed to be, is she?...

How Great this show is!! She is not an expert and sure wish I had her fast thinking mind. I get a bit sick of experts, they have their place but this woman is fuuunnnnyyyy. I actually watch this channel now, just to see her and laugh. Maybe someone should give her a sit com and let her make us laugh on ABC NBC or CBS. Nice to see and hear real natural talent.
I am happy that I can finally watch a show on Animal Planet with my young grandchildren that is educational and doesn't have a "kill" every 5 minutes! And, just because I am new at posting to this forum, doesn't mean I'm a relative of the host's. It just means Animal Planet has finally produced a show that I really enjoy and want to support. Thanks again for this new concept!
I LOVE it. My 6 year old son loves it too. My heart was so broken after Steve Irwin, that I'm glad somebody finally got me back watching Animal Planet - the finest channel on cable tv. I think Rachel's great and very inspirational. Keep making episodes. You've got viewers here in Maryland.
