Most Evil is by far my favorite show on ID, but I was pretty disappointed tonight when I watched the episode "Science of Murder." From my knowledge of it, they gave very in depth and accurate information about Charles Manson's childhood. However, they claimed that he led his "family" to commit five murders, when he led them to commit eight...at least.
I'm sure this may seem like a tiny detail to most people, but I absolutely hate it when shows about serial killers only report on the killer's "most famous" of kills. Especially since those are three peoples' lives that are being looked over.
Bobby Beausoleil of the Manson Family killed a music teacher named Gary Hinman just over a week prior to their slaughter of Abigail Folger, Wojciech "Voytek" Frykowski, Steven Parent, Jay Sebring and Sharon Tate. The next night they killed a married couple named Leno and Rosemary LaBianca.
So, I wonder, do you think this is complete misinformation on their part, or do you think they are taking the route of most media outlets and only featuring the celebrity slaughter involving Sharon Tate?
I think they only outlined the murders they know that Manson "ordered" so to speak. Being that the program was probably only dealing with Manson's psyche, and his control of his "family" members, they dealt with the murders perpetrated by a group of them.
