Eric and his crew seem reckless..I think he needs to reel them in a little before someone gets hurt. The rest is a toss up between Andy (although I thought he was nuts getting that close to the ice pack), Rick, Phil, and of course Sig!
Reckless, oh come on. Having personality doesnt make someone reckless. Okay yes, they do screw up a few counts here and there, but other than that.... their hillarius!

alijandra, I'm a Sig/Northwestern Fan all the way. Phil/Cornelia Marie are a close 2nd! Eric is adorable and does have a very laid back personality, but after reading all your comments throughtout this forum, it seems like you are more interested in looks than overall performance. It's like you should be a postergirl for Eric! The comment was about which Captain and Crew you prefer, NOT WHO YOU'RE TRYING TO GET A DATE WITH!!!
Accually I'm pretty laid back when it comes to alot of people on here. I really wouldnt mind being the poster girl to be honest, and I do relize which comment page I'm posting on since I am the one that started the topic. I have never once been rude to anyone about their suggestion no matter how much it may differ from mine. Honestly, I dont think I am any worse about praising Eric about his good looks than others priase Sig about his. If you check out some of the other forums you'd see that their is alot dedicated to Sig, maybe only this one caught your attention because it is rare to see someone praising Eric.
I have been a "visitor" only to this site for awhile now. I finally joined today!!! The show is awsome. I enjoy watching it all. As you have probably guessed by my Id.... Captain Andy is for sure my fav!!!
My favorite crew is that of the Northwestern followed by the Cornelia Marie - I cant wait for the new season!! Thanks guys and thanks to Mike Rowe for the great narration! Thank you also to the Discovery Channel - where would we be without you!
It is not beyond possibility that I have already had a beer, with all these guys. they are all good guys, I have no down and out favorite...but I find that sig and brothers make me laugh more

Well hungingprovides, since you've had a beer with all of the guys, I think it's safe to say that just about everyone on this board is very jealous of you! I'm not surprised that the Hansens make you laugh the most, they seem like they would be a riot!
I like them all, but I'd have to say Andy and the Time Bandit are my favorites. Not sure why. I like the fact that both Andy and his brother Jonathan are willing to go the extra mile to get the crab (though it doesn't always pay off, lol). Part of the allure of this show to me is the risks these guys take. Oh the adventure!! It makes my heart soar!
I like Sig and the Northwestern. Sig's a good captain and he looks out for his crew. His younger brother is the Deckboss and he's the one of the best, hard working fishermen in the fleet, he's also a little quirky, which is good to see in a show like this. The Cornelia Marie is a close second.
Was I the only one who noticed Eric and his crew ADMITTING they chose not to do needed maintenance on the boat? With breaking equipment and failure to do maintenance the crew lost crab fishing time which meant less money for the crew and not doing the needed maintenance and repairs could have cost the entire crew their lives.
Lets see more of the boats that are safety conscious!!!

I don't play faves with the captains and crews of the crab fleet. My dad is a former crabber himself and I was raised around the fleet. However todays episode "Cashing In" gave me an old glimps of one of my dad's boats in Sig's dad's old home movie, to see the Endeavore in the middle of the frame (the blue boat) brought tears to my eyes since the ill fated day that forgiving boat rolled and sank and took all 5 of it's crew members down with her. I called me dad and told him about seeing her on tv today and he was shocked to say the least. We had a good time talkin about the old days when I was little kid being king crab raised. My hat is off to all the men of the fleet and Captain Sig if you happen to see this thanks for the visual memory of that wonderful big blue boat. And to all of the families out there of crabbers that have lost a loved one or friend we always remember those that have passed and had a wreath put out to sea in their honor. I had to laugh when I saw this message thread. My husband and I enjoy watching "Deadliest Catch" together. We seriously are addicts! LOL We have a great time because I love Sig and Edgar aboard the Northwestern while he loves Phil Harris and crew aboard the Cornelia Marie. We go back and forth during the entire hour every time a tally is shown.
I usually come out the winner but he still loves Phil!
My favorite is Captain Phil. He is a hoot and the most entertaining to watch. My second favorite is tie between Eric and Rick/Donna. But, I love Andy too.

And Alijandra, I don't get all the NW love either. I mean, I like them and everything....Edgar is cutie and my favorite NW crew member, but other than that...don't see the special.

Well pardon us for calling them boats which is exactly what you called them three times total in BOTH your posts. What would a lay person, who knows nothing other than what we've seen on the show know to call them other than boats? According to my dictionary boat: "a vessel for travel on water". Don't know what definition your dictionary has for "boat"?!?! But that is what I got from Webster's.
