WTF, are you serious? There were other 27 yr olds that didn't act like a douche on the show. Plus the fact that just because you are a crab fisherman, is no reason to be a jerk. Last time i checked, most of the other guys weren't big headed.

you could not be more wrong. they are fishing king crab right now. Keep that one off the show, the 2 new episodes without him last night were great.

blake is a kid, and a big whine bag at that,.....cant see any crew runnin with him long he may very well be good enough to Capt a boat but his manners, maturity are very short
How could he be 'misrepresented'? I understand that some things end up on the cutting room floor. But, when you're an a$$ all the time, that's all you're gonna see.
Blake is the ONLY one out of all the crews that I can't stand to listen to-I'll mute the sound. I would rather listen to a whole hour of Hiram from the Maverick on one of his rants to a single sound byte from Blake the Flake.
I was wondering about Blake also. I agree he was the most terrible thing that has happened on the Berring Sea. I feel bad that the Maverick is no longer on the show though. But the Noth American skipper is almost as bad.
Mr. Quashnick (forgive the mis-spelling) should never gave Blake the keys to The Maverick. Some other crew member should of given the chance. Blake is an cry baby BOOHOOO
The Maverick isn't on the show anymore. Not last season or this season. When you see him or the boat, you're watching Season Two most likely. Seems like most DC fans either loved him or hated him.
I never liked how Blake acted like it was his freaking birthright to get to be the captain. I mean seriously… Just because (in his own words) it is all he ever wanted to do since he was five years old doesn't cut it. All I ever wanted to do since I was five years old is to be an astronaut. Whooptie doo! This isn't "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" we're talking about pal. It's real life. I would just tell the dude to pay his dues and quit acting so arrogant and maybe people hate him so much -- although it‘s probably too late for that now.

If you haven't read what Blake's mom has to say about it, you might want to check out the EveningStar's website.
I've seen at least one other example of fancy editing. 'nuff said.
Come on! LOL! You just can't edit some things, like how Blake almost started squirting tears when he found that he wasn't going to be captain. I'm not sure there is any other context you could put that in where it would make look much better. Also, what would you expect his mom to say about him? Seriously!
