Gypsy did a great job, looks fantastic and created an amazing machine.

Question:
Should the Discovery Channel feature more women builders?

Choices:
Yes
No
I don't care

I don't care if they are women, men, or something else, Just as long as they build intresting, one of a kind bikes that they designed at least mostly by themselves and that they are willing to put a lot of work into themselves. I don't think that they need to specificly look for women, and any women that get on the show shouldn't win just becuase they are women. bring anyone that has the drive and ability to create good looking bikes. Gypsy won hands down, as she deserved to, since her bike looked so much better, and as far as I can tell, she had a lot bigger role in making it than her opponenent had in building his. I would love to see more women on the show, but I don't think that the producers should have some sort of "affermitive action" system to give women a bigger chance to get on the show.

Of course they should. But why should a person's sex matter?

I really think the whole woman builder thing was totally unnecessary. How many all female builds did Monster Garage do before all this?

I read an article written by El Pitts in Street Chopper magazine where he was complaining that he didn't want to be known as the "black guy" builder. But they never once mentioned it on the show. So why start all this stuff about the first woman builder?

I have to say this season was largely a disappointment until the last couple of shows, and it's partially because they're forgetting what the show is about... THE BIKES!!

If someone can build, let them build, I don't care if they're american, chinese, black, female, or alien.

Lets ditch the drama and the "chopper king" and let it be about the bikes.

Math,

I couldn't agree more about the women builders’ part. Why should gender be part of the equation?

althought tempest and mathius said the same thing, i think tempest said it better. i woulda said the same thing, except, i dont wanna just see interesting bikes, i wanna see good looking bikes. if anyone saw the canadian vs texas build tonight (whoever the builders were) the canadian team build an interesting bike. but when i found out they won i felt like thowing up all over it, except it looked like someone already did. they had copper, black, gunmetal grey metallic, candy red, the tan leather seat and that might not have been everything... anyway to get back to the topic, i agree with tempest. I say look for appealing bikes and find out who built it. NOT finding interesting builders and whatever they build, put it on tv.

I liked Charros build and I dug her character. I think they should feature more interesting women buiders. I like chicks, and always will.
The show has to change and evolve or it will die, and in this reality based tv world biker build off is my favorite show, besides wrestling. Problem is I should be in the garage working on my own bike instead of sitting in front of the idiot box watching anything. But I am addicted to BBO
